Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

The Kodi add on still works with my expired subscription and shows all the free content with no commercials and the live channels. It doesn’t list the titles on the paid tier.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Checked the app on my iPhone this morning and my subscription is expired but still get a handful of things for free as I’m a “legacy” member. Haven’t checked the Kodi add on yet to see if I can still...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Movies have commercials up front and then the movie itself plays without them. The Kodi addon does not play the commercials in any case, or if you have an ipad you can use an adblocker (only one I...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I just got a notice with no offer at all- they can keep it.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Just do a Google search for what you want to do with it. Disney Plus was the first thing I wanted to use with it so I just Googled "Kodi Disney" and got step-by-step directions. I'm not a computer...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Someone finally got a Kodi add-on for Peacock up and running, but it's got a weird name "Skyott" since it also works with the Sky service in the UK. Works well and does not play commercials on the ad...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I have it in hi-def on D-VHS. Less than 100 movies were released on that format but that was one of them.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

The feed for the local CBS station looked pretty bad when they started, but last time I checked it (during the local news) the picture actually looked BETTER than over the air. A football game was on...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

So back in August when someone posted the deal they had at the time, I went to check it out and unknowingly signed up for it. I had meant to see if there was any deal for the no-commercials option,...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I'm deeply offended by YouTube videos where they just shoot their TV with a camera. But I may have to check out the show one of these days...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Assuming you have good theaters- the ones here don’t even list if they have Atmos and they’ll probably show Halloween letterboxed with no masking anyways. Might as well stay home.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Haven’t gotten Atmos on anything, and I wouldn’t have known anything was 4K if you hadn’t told me.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Well that’s close at least. I wouldn’t watch it through a web browser but if someone can come up with a Kodi app it might work (already does with Hulu and several free services).

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

First time I heard of him was when I worked at the Tower Records 800-number. Someone had bought a Caillou VHS tape and wanted to send it back because it had the word "stupid" in it, and "we don't use...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Presentation-wise I considered Peacock one of the worst services, but they finally added support for Airplay, and it passes 5.1 sound unlike on Chromecast- AND it lets you skip past commercials (I...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Just tried it on my laptop hooked to my TV, it works. The screen goes black for a couple seconds as it checks for HDCP compliance and all that, but it comes back. Some quality issues but can't...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I'll have to try it on my laptop hooked to the TV and see if it's blocked. I've never seen anything do that before on it. I tried to use my TV's internal web browser for it and it wouldn't even let...

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Roku was the best device because it gave you access to everything- seems that's no longer the case now.

re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Instead of adding Plus or Max to the name, they should go with After Dark (which incidentally used to be a section on Vudu before Walmart bought them out.)

re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Never got the appeal of that show- I'm stuck in an office for 8 hours a day, when I go home I don't want to go back into one. Same with Scrubs, I try to stay out of hospitals as much as possible.

re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

This is why it's been best for me to just pay by title, rather than subscribe to one or more 'unlimited' services. As network TV (over the air) is unwatchable by my standards, I'd gladly pay for a...
