Yeah, I have android tv. I’m good, but I got every nbc show I want in Vudu. Cheers, The Office, 30 Rock, Seinfeld (don’t need or want), Parks and Rec, Chuck. They got nothing I would be interested in.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

So one issue I'm having with Peacock...I paid for no commercials but they built in fades for breaks and are ruining scenes, especially on comedies.
Let say they start a joke, it fades out (for a commercial break) then fades up after the punch line! At least on Hulu it's a hard cut so you don't miss anything.

Just tried it on my laptop hooked to my TV, it works. The screen goes black for a couple seconds as it checks for HDCP compliance and all that, but it comes back. Some quality issues but can't complain too much for free. We'll see if it ever makes it to Roku.

Most steamers are Roku or Firestick people who like watching on their giant tv. Peacock and Hbomax are gonna have a hard time growing without them.

Peacock has 10M subscribers according to this data as of July 30th. But a lot of them are likely Comcast subscribers.

That's not really a fair comparison. Peacock has a free membership. All the others require a paid membership.

That's a separate service, though? At least every time I've checked the free stuff there is completely different from the Prime video stuff, if there's any overlap it seems small.

If you care about sports talk, The Dan Patrick show has a new home. It will be on Peacock.

i like Dan Patrick a lot but I wonder what he’ll have to talk about? With it looking more likely there will be no football season and baseball struggling to stay afloat it seems nba playoffs will be about all there is to discuss.

This is just his radio show televised, which used to be on Audience on DirecTV, right? Or is this some kind of new PTI-like show?

I mean, he's doing the radio show either way.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Yes it’s his radio show broadcast from Connecticut. Before this deal he was streaming it for free on YouTube.

When DirecTV shut down Audience Network, he had to lay off his entire staff that helped produce it from LA and then did the show on the cheap for YouTube.

I find mysef watching Peacock more than I expected. Namely to watch the old Unsolved Mysteries that always seem to be airing on one of the channels.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

The app is now up on Roku.

That was a pretty quick turnaround. Now HBO Max and Roku need to get things going as well.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Does Peacock have "Grimm" available?

I searched the website, but have not registered. I didn’t see it listed anywhere in the shows section. I wasn’t sure if they listed more shows if you register.
