Maybe so, but DVDs like that are still being made and still being released.

I did state that alternate cuts were my favorite "bonus" feature....the rest I put under "Absolutely essential DVD...

Favorite bonus feature is the inclusion of an alternate cut. The whole cut, not just 'deleted scenes'

Edit : It seems I was slightly off. Just glanced at my DVD catalog, which is color coded (unwatched films in red, black for watched), and it tells me that there are 187 still...

I've never understood why some people have this need of having the image fill their entire screen, be it 4:3, 1.78, or now 2.35.
You could, of course, get 3 different TVs, one for each ratio.

Most pre-1965 rock/pop albums were not conceived/recorded as "albums"....most were made up of singles/tracks from various sessions, often years apart, or quickly recorded with filler material...

Haven't watched any in ages, all were bought 1980s-90s. There are around 5,000 of them.
