Last DVD you watched?
I love the "Last HD DVD/BD you watched?" thread in the HD Talk Section and didn't see anything for that specific purpose in the DVD Talk section... which is why I decided to create this thread. I watch a lot of DVD's still and would love to be able to post my comments on them after I've finished viewing them. Hopefully others will agree that a DVD equivalent thread for this sort of discussion is a good idea.
The last I watched was The Apartment. Just finished it actually. This was my first Billy Wilder movie. I really loved it and have heard so many great things about his films from my sister that now I am going to have to watch them all - just based on how great this one was.

Romero's Land of the Dead.
Talking about it with a friend recently and I recalled hating this one the first time I watched it. Still pretty goofy - zombies with the ability to learn. Aside from a few jump out of your seat scare effects I find that the mood, atmosphere and general fun such as Dawn of the Dead or Zombi were lost in this one. Not as bad as I remembered but not great.

WWE Survivor Series 2003
The first wrestling ppv I ordered in more than a decade, this was a really fun show. An exciting opening match, a solid main event, and a couple of real gems in the middle, including a MOTYC. One of the best Survivor Series ever.

Two and a Half Men Season 6 - I watched that one over 2 days because my mom hadn't seen this season yet & it doesn't bother me to watch it again. I enjoy the show.

The last movie I watched on DVD was Howard the Duck, which I finally got around to watching last night. I thought it was okay, really not the worst movie ever made, but it was no masterpiece either.
The last tv show I watched on DVD was X-Men Volume 1, which I am nearly done with.

Castle: The complete first season
Overall it was pretty good. I had seen about half of it when it first aired so it was good to catch up. Watched a few of the special features, the gag reel wasn't really much of anything and also a sketch with Nathan Fillion learning how to be a real writer from Stephen J. Cannell.

Re: Last DVD you watched?
Friday the 13th Part IV. I just got through the bonus features, including two good commentary tracks. I'd only seen 1-3 and 8, but bought the deluxe series as it came out, partly because I think I'll like them and partly become I'm a completist.
I was surprised at how good the fourth installment was. You would think "part 4" of any long-running series would be well into rehash mode (and it is to a point), but there were lots of good twists that I really liked.
Now on to the fifth one ...

Bourne Ultimatum
Love the tie in to the of Supremacy, hate the frenetic zoom happy camera work. Fun espionage thriller with some rather tense moments. Good stuff.
