Funny I saw both today. I'd go with Step-Brothers. X-Files wasn't bad, but you'll need to be a fan of the show to enjoy it. I certainly did. But Step-Brothers will get you many laughs.

My video center had it since last week. I saw it yesterday but didn't feel like picking it up.

I got Prada. The kids got sort of bored. My aunt liked it. In the end it was a good waste of 110 min.
