I ordered a 12-pack on Amazon Pantry the week they came out. They're out of stock now. I guarantee they'll stock up again before the movie hits theatres.

Oh I was hoping to find them in grocery stores. No way am I paying for a whole case. Maybe when the movie comes out they'll have them in the wild.

Yeah, probably. But, I mean... a case was only $7.75.

They should also be available in juice boxes in stores now, but it may not be universally available yet. Seasonal products are always on a fucked up schedule. Search Twitter and narrow it down to your local area.
And as for the cans, as far as I know, they're only available online at Amazon and Wal-Mart, and in person at Cinemark theaters (individual cans).

The “Ghostbusters” reboot may have found its greatest take on the material yet in the form of a cover of the original Ray Parker Jr. “Ghostbusters” theme by Japanese comedians Tomochika, Oniyakko Tsubaki, Naomi Watanabe and Shizuyo Yamasaki.

I still think this looks good.
Otherwise, I don't understand what we're allowed to talk about in here. Afraid to say anything else.

So I was at Target tonight and saw that some of the figures from the new film are already on clearance. Seems odd for a film not even out yet. I picked up a light up Stay Puft Marshmallow Man figure for $6.98 plus tax.

God damn this movie looks terrible. Every time I see a new movie and this is one of the trailers nobody laughs. Is that just jaded Los Angeles crowds, do people actually laugh at these trailers?

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)
you know... I like the updated f/x for the ghosts... and I like the idea of all of the new tech... the shotgun... the glove...
I just wish this was the "next generation" story line mentioned for years... sons and sure, daughters of the original characters, with cameos of the remaining original cast passing the torch. You could've had so much fun with that. Could've even had a running gag were Ray's child was actually most like the Venkman character for ... some... strange reason. Regardless... it's obvious that any Ghostbusters sequel/reboot/torch passing needed to be more sly, sarcastic, biting, dry humor, less screaming, pie-in-the-face type shit that Feig has produced.

I think that subway tunnel scene is funny, and I love all the new gadgets.
I'm still not convinced this movie is going to live up to any sort of hype, but it's looking decent enough to catch it opening weekend.
Funny that they mentioned how heavy the backpacks are.
Maybe they did reshoots after reading these DVDTalk threads.

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)
There is a commercial (I saw it on Comedy Central, I think) that starts out with a text screen about the classic "getting an upgrade." For all the constant comments from Feig and company about how this isn't a remake, this has nothing to do with the original - they sure love using the original to sell this .. The original song, the shots of the firehouse, the references to the original (at least in the advertising) all makes it like they don't actually want to stand alone. To me, this is going to make it impossible to judge on its own merits.

Here is my prediction:
The shitstorm that Fege and Co. are perpetuating is covering up a major plot twist that has not been revealed. Since this is keeping people away from the plot spoiler, they are just rolling with it and feeding the fire to keep people from looking for spoilers. This also explains the whole sequel/remake/reboot debate they are specifically being vague about.

Not desperate (I've not been a defender of this film) -- just a crackpot theory of mine. It would be awesome though! Maybe desperate in this measure: I am hoping beyond hope that this movie is not as simplistic as the trailers have made it seem. There has to be some kind of substance to this. Right? It can't all be slime jokes and base comedy. Please?
Different characters -- That's what they want you believe, man!

It got everything in the trailer correct, yes. That doesn't mean the person had seen the actual film. As I recall, they were vague about a bunch of stuff, but then gave specific details of parts that just so happened to be in that second trailer.
I'm not saying it's not a legitimate leak, but I think it was someone who saw the trailer early, not the movie.
