Again, in what world is asking him a question about seeing a trailer "grilling"him?
Let it go before you give yourself a heart attack.

Then he gets into this incredulous and condescending "really?" tone that also questions a point that he made absolutely crystal-fucking-clear.
Now you are just making shit up. "Dude" said the new trailer he saw was better than the "trailerS" he had seen before. I took that to mean, as anyone with even the slightest grasp of the English language would, that he had seen multiple different trailers before this one. Therfore making the one he had just seen at a minimum the third different trailer that he had seen. There was no "incredulous and condescending 'really" tone" except in your own mind. The point that he made crystal fucking clear was that the third trailer, which he had jsut seen, was better than the previous two that he had seen. Your unnecessary, and obviously slanted response only muddied the waters. Perhaps that is why you are having such a difficult time understanding this, as it seems that others are having no comprehension problems.

My lengthy comment about Scorsese and The King of Comedy was deleted also. I had to completely rewrite it. This thread is nuts.

Agreed. The two previous threads were locked, and this thread was closed and only opened again with specific instructions. The people that were responsible for the previous closures violate those instructions with seeming impunity and other peoples posts are deleted. It doesn't make any sense.

I'm scared to ask because I might get deleted again or the thread closed, but what "instructions" are you referring to? The only one I see at the top of the thread is about not making sexist jokes.

I haven't seen any commercials that make me want see this.

After seeing the Kobe spot I want to see it even less.

It might be a tall order, but I wonder if this will be worse than Blues Brothers 2000?

Not possible.

Although I think the trailers are terrible, if this movie gets some decent reviews, I am going to give it a shot. I thought "Spy" looked terrible from the trailers, and I thought it was hilarious.

In defense of BB2000, I'd say the musical numbers are pretty good.

But can it be worse than The Odd Couple 2?

That's where I'm at. Nothing I've seen thus far has made me want to see this movie. But if I hear good word of mouth after it's released, I may catch it later on down the road.

I went to The Heat without knowing what it was, and probably would've skipped it if I'd known it was McCarthy, but I thought that was hilarious.

As mentioned, at least that had good musical numbers.

In the world of sequels from Bill Murray films though, do we even want to acknowledge the existence of Caddyshack 2?

I enjoyed it as well, and thought it looked like it would be awful.

I think my only experience with McCarthy up to that point had been Bridesmaids, which I never finished.

My biggest problem with that Fall Out Boy cover is that it's just dull. They took all the life out of the song.

I was the opposite, my fiancee wanted to watch The Heat and I thought it might be decent because I like Bullock and liked McCarthy from Bridesmaids, but ended up hating their schtick.
