Nemesis 4: Death Angel (1996)
An awful film through and through. A smidge more entertaining than its predecessor.
It's also a bit odd how often Director/Writer Albert Pyun insists on Sue Price being completely nude in this film.

Nemesis (1992)
Easily the best film in the series, partly because of how obvious its influences are and partly because of its fairly solid pacing.

Pumpkinhead (1988)
I've always appreciated this film as a slice of backwoods folklore.
I can see how it didn't catch on like others series', namely because of the era it was released in (late 80s).

Devotion (2022)
While it isn't the best film featuring airplanes (or war) in 2022, the film is solidly made albeit a bit safe.

Violent Night (2022)
Given that Director Tommy Wirkola was behind the lens, I was fully expecting this film to be 100-times more deranged than the final product.
David Harbour is absolutely fantastic but when he isn't on-screen, there isn't much to care about.

Showtime
This was kind of strange

Helena Howard the lead shined in this and probably somebody to look for big things in the future.

Amazon Prime
It was not a classic but I was entertained
Tye Sheridan usually picks good projects.

I own this but maybe I should have saved my money
I had the Oliver and Dodger xmas ornaments from the 80's and wanted to see this.
The Huey Lewis song that opens the movie was pretty good.

The Thin Man (1934). It's aged well.
It's clearly more of a Christmas movie than Die Hard. It even has William Powell shooting balloons off his Christmas tree. (Streaming from the Ottawa Community Channel)

Deathstalker - Surprisingly offensive/misogynist movie. I don't know how else to describe this. A cheap Roger Corman pic, this feature a ton of nudity...and not all of it good because it deals with a lot of "rapey stuff" that I just cringed at. Not a fan of this. Got it in some 4-Pack of Roger Corman movies. This has not aged well. At all.
Murder by Decree - I enjoyed this Bob Clark movie, which most people know about (Sherlock Holmes investigating the Jack the Ripper killings). It's a very dialogue-heavy movie but it still manages to get the blood pumping. And I was surprised at how good the production design was. I always figured this would be a low budget picture but the sets and costumes and just overall production are actually really impressive. And I've heard people complain about Christopher Plummer's performance but I thought he did a decent job. And, for whatever reason, I almost feel like this movie works better if you've previously read Alan Moore & Eddie Campbell's From Hell graphic novel (I like their work, but found the Johnny Depp/Hughes Brothers film tremendously disappointing)...
Universal Soldier - Hm. This was actually pretty decent, but I absolutely loved the last two Direct-to-Video movies (Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning is absolutely stunning and difficult to watch...and Universal Soldier: Regeneration is also solid...I think both were directed by the son of Peter Hyams...). I had never seen the original until now. It starts off pretty great (and there's a scene at a dam that is extremely well shot) but kind of tapers off towards the end. It becomes pretty predictable and kind of by the numbers.

The Whale (2022)
Fantastic performances from Brendan Fraser & Hong Chau.
While it might be partly due to the adaptation from play to screen, I didn't find the plot very engaging.

Hammer (1972)
Oddly enough, this film differentiates itself by leaning into more drama compared to other Blaxploitation films.
It doesn't always work in terms of coherency but Fred Williamson's charisma makes the film watchable.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)
I enjoyed the previous film a bit more but this sequel is still very entertaining, due to another wonderful performance from Daniel Craig.
Everyone in this film looks like they are having a great time and its better off for it.

While the Stop Motion Animation is gorgeous, the on-going themes of Fascism and Christianity feel incredibly muddled here.
Loved Ewan McGregor's performance as Sebastian J. Cricket.

Absolutely fearless and filled with weird nightmare logic.
Even so, the film feels a bit underdeveloped which is apparent in its march to the final act.

Horror Anthology filled to the brim with Meta-Horror Comedies.
The issue here is that very few of them succeed and the ones that get close are overshadowed by echoes of films done better previously.
Chris McInroy's segment One Time In The Woods & Anthony Cousins' The Night He Came Back Again! Part IV: The Final Kill are highlights here.
