The Fifth Element. Showed it to someone who'd never seen it before, and she liked it. Yay!

Dashcam (2021)
I absolutely loved Rob Savage's previous film Host (2020) but I didn't enjoy this film.
There were some fun moments of gore but (as previous mentioned), none of the characters are remotely likeable and the cinematography is chaotic at best, diluting some of the neat set pieces the film does have.

Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)
The film is big and dumb, re-treading places the series has already explored.
I still had fun with it and thought it was light-years better than Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), which I had almost erased from memory.

The Initiation of Sarah (1978) — Definitely has flavors of Carrie in this TV movie but still pretty entertaining though does lag some in the second act before redeeming itself with a satisfying finale. Solid performances including Kay Lenz as Sarah. ***¾/***** (Blu-ray)

Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973)
One of my all-time favorite Exploitation films.
Christina Lindberg is absolutely fantastic in this.

Firestarter (2022) — Eh, just another pointless remake/re-adaptation, although I don't mind it since the 1984 version wasn't great either. Nothing terrible but not anything special either. Performances were bland and not even the pyrotechnics weren't all that impressive. I guess it's fine to watch for free on Peakcock Premium but even so, you're really not missing anything. **¼/***** (Blu-ray)

Fortress: Sniper's Eye (2022) — Another yawn-inducing direct-to-video action-thriller that takes place a month after the first film. Has yet another emotion-less "performance" from Bruce Willis who spends a good amount of time resting on a bed. The action is pretty inept and dialogue absolutely awful. The best thing is at least Chad Michael Murray was giving what I would call an "aw f**k it" performance. Otherwise this is as just as bland and forgettable as the first movie. *½/***** (Blu-ray)

Initiation (2021) — I'll give it points for not being the typical teen slasher and the acting, for the most part, was okay with some kudos to the lead (Lindsay LaVanchy) and it does seem like this is the movie the recent Black Christmas remake should have been. It is a little slow going (I think it was something like 40+ minutes in before the first kill) but still worth checking out. ***¼/***** (Blu-ray)

Amazon Prime and it was free again maybe with all the purchases I made in the past month
It was not horrible but kind of generic with Van Helsing CGI
No "Wow" moments and surprised Leto was in such a average movie.

I own this with the old school Blu-ray live features. Man time has passed.
Back in 2006 they were using landline phones a lot to communicate
Jodie Foster was so hot in this

Absolutely not. And even funnier, I believe plans changed with Willis' aphasia, this was supposed to be a trilogy.

Cross My Heart (1987) — While not the best romantic plot and Martin Short was absolutely miscast in the male lead, Annette O'Toole was great and made the movie work as well as it did. I think Paul Reiser would've been better in the lead over Short... **½/***** (Blu-ray)
