Traffic (2000) — Seen this a few times over the years and still remains a compelling multi-character drama with some fine performances all around. Also has some great visuals depending on the storyline. Not sure where I rank it amongst Soderbergh's other works (Ocean's 11 has the fun factory going for it) but still love it no matter how many times I've seen it. ****½/*****

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) The monsters fights were great and enjoyed a few surprises I did not know about. 9 for monsters. -3 for the people.
Blood and Bone (2009) Some really good fight scenes. Also enjoyed the story. 8.5/10 for a great action movie.
The 13th Warrior (1999) 2nd viewing. Was reshot and had added new material to the film. The story for the film was interesting but
just not executed very good. The Crow (1994) 5th viewing? Dark and great

I am not a huge Avengers fan but I liked the first Iron Man and the third was decent and the first time watching it in HD.
I wish there was a Iron Man 4.

Taking of Pelham 123 (2009) — Saw this one many years ago, probably when it came out on Blu-ray, and decided to give it another watch at random, and... pretty much lined up with from the first go around. Nothing amazing nor has any great twists, but the performances from Washington and Travolta made the movie worth the time. On the downside, as with many of his later films, Tony Scott's choppy direction was a bit annoying. ***½/*****

A security pro crosses paths with an old enemy when he and his team of oddball hackers pursue a code-breaking device that could change the world.
I haven't seen this one since the laser disc days. It was Phil Alden Robinson's follow-up to "Field of Dreams". It's listed on HBO as a Comedy, but it's more of an "Amiable Thriller". It remains a charming, entertaining film, though it's a bit too long (the problem of giving every actor their own little moment to shine). Terrific cast.

A Girl Walks Home at Night. We watched it with no advance knowledge, and that made it even better.

An agency assassin is able to place her mind in the bodies of others and then uses the host to commit targeted killings. Unfortunately, all the wear-and-tear on her psyche has left her at a breaking point.
Brandon Cronenberg’s film certainly evokes the work of his father, David. It’s futuristic and violent, and while the characters are developed, it all felt a bit chilly and distant. In fact, there are deleted scenes that would have made the film a bit less ambiguous and more fleshed out, but Brandon removed them. It’s unsettling and gruesome and I’ll definitely want to take another look at it, -and keep an eye out for his next film.

Death Has Blue Eyes (1975) — I haven't an f***ing clue what I just f***ing watched. WTF. You could not pay me $50 to explain the plot. Seriously, the weirdest, most confusing movie I've ever seen. Of the who, what, where and why, I can only say where: Athens Greece. That's it. Some lovely ladies, including the one on the cover art, though she's an assassin (I guess) and only in the movie for like 5 minutes. Honestly, I have no more words for this, whatever it is. **½/***** (*/***** for how bizarre it is, *****/***** for how really bizarre it is).

Don't cancel James Franco since I like his movies
Spoiler alert I thought there would be a epiphany and Glatze would back to being gay at the end unless it happened in real life.

The Color of Money(1986) Forgot Martin Scorsese directed this movie until I watched it again.
Collateral Liked it better the first viewing, I know it is just a movie with a good cast. But come on man , the ending ruined it for me.

Had no idea this was filmed in Mobile, AL since nobody had Southern accents.
It was not bad and ok and Chris Meloni was great in his scenes.

It Follows. A teenage girl has sex and then has to deal with his giving her an STD (sexually transmitted demon). It's coming to kill her, and the only way she can get rid of it is to have sex with someone else. Then it will stalk and kill the next person, unless he passes it on, too. It looks like a person, no one else can see it, and it walks after her remorselessly. A fine movie.
It Follows, A Girl Walks Home at Night, and The Innocents were all in a list of good horror movies. I need to find that list again, because they were all great choices.

One of those movies I've meant to get around to. It's a laid-back and very likeable film, -certainly easy to watch, -but should it have been more?

I know it was not based on a true story
I am not sure what they were trying to go for and really understood it but it was not that bad and if anybody but Elliot was in that role I probably would not have cared.
The ending was confusing.
