Why did they use "The Fellowship of the Ring-The Bridge of Khazad Dum" for the music?

I saw the bootleg trailer.
Odd that they used "The Fellowship of the Ring-The Bridge of Khazad Dum" for the music.

Saw the trailer tonight at the theater, and Supes' suit most definitely looked bluer in the quick flyaway shot at the end than it does in the stills we've seen.

Re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)
The Man of Steel trailer seemed like a jeans ad with a shot of Superman at the end, but that's variety for Synder, I suppose. I'm told that the narration is verbatim from the comic "All-Star Superman", which I remember people talking up like it was a great read, so that sounds promising. Mind you, Watchmen's a pretty great read too, and Snyder made a bollocks of that. OOH CONTROVERSIAL OPINION not that controversial
I liked that "they will walk with you in the sun" line. That line, and Russel Crowe's aussie voice, reminded me of Tim Minchin. Which would make for a very odd Jor-El.

The FOTR music is jarring (if your familiar with it) at first but I like the tone of the teaser. It does feel Nolan-esque rather than a Snyder film. That's a very good thing.

Just from the tone of it added w/ the voiceover. It seems like we may get some hope there for sure. Becoming that man. The hardest thing that individual has to decide on. great stuff.
EDIT: would like to add that...did Snyder get all Malick there for a bit? I mean, i didn't expect his regular style on this but...really liked the visuals of kid in the grass, butterfly on that swing chain, etc.

Again...this Superman wont be like the rest...while im alittle weirded by the whole Dangerous Catch thing...it looks great..the music is great but would have been perfect for The Dark Knight Rises...could you imagine..

So judging by the vibe from the teaser, I'm guessing
before Clark goes on his sea voyage.

Re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)
Some people have the Kevin Costner voice-over, some have a Russell Crowe one. That's interesting. It's not that important, but I wonder what their pattern is as to what showing gets which VO. The IMAX screening of The Dark Knight Rises has Crowe's VO.

Yep, of all the music they could use, they use LOTR. This teaser doesn't do anything for me. That's one thing the Singer version still has a leg up on, that teaser was much better.

Outside of that and the airplane sequence, the rest of Singer's version was pretty awful. Hopefully Snyder's movie isn't as drab. I don't expect it to be.
