I thought that Episode I was the first movie released in the theaters in 3-D?

Darth Vader isn't even in that movie????
I suppose Darth Vader IS in the first two movies. From a certain point of view.

I love Yoda's look in the poster...it's almost as if he's saying "Again, not this $hit!"

Spoiler:
Which is, of course, how Yoda would say "Not this shit again!"

Who are you to say if Darth Vader isn't in The Phantom Menace? That's up to George.

When do we start making B.O. projections. Anyone see this making more than 40 million?

EDIT: Hmm . . . I see Lion King 3D is at $92,596,300. I haven't been following it. So maybe . . .

Even the green MPAA screen in the beginning looks brownish, so I don't think the transfer will be like that. I'm really curious how this will do at theaters. Lion King cleaned up, but I've got a feeling this won't...

I don't know what it is, but the more complaints I see about this whole thing on this and other forums, the more psyched up I'm getting to see this in theaters again (2D only of course).

This isn't even a shot at Lucas or the Prequels, but I wouldn't see the OT movies in 3-D if he released them either. I am just not that big into the whole 3-D thing, so I am not boycotting this because of Lucas, I just dont get juiced to see any movie in 3-D.

I think he does care. There had to be a start. Jar Jar has been doing really good in the clone wars. He has became a little smarter. Will I pay to see it? No, will I buy it on 3D blu-ray? Depends if I have the box set out now.

One thing he never learns and he will even say. I keep killing off the wrong person (Fett, His Dad, etc).

This year was the year of buy a blue and get a ticket to see a movie. I had many left over tickets. I used some for 3D (Cap was good, Transformers, smufs). I had seen them in both 2D and 3D. If the movie was shot in real 3D then it was good if not it was bad. One of the things I did see between them. In 3D movie there is to much going on or you need to watch it more then once. At home it's not that big of a deal.

I wouldn't see the OT unaltered in the theaters. I'm pretty much Star Wars'd out.

Just revisited the prequels on Blu-ray after a long time not seeing them. It's impossible to overstate how terrible those movies are. A third dimension won't help.

I've grown to tolerate AOTC and actually enjoy much (not all!) of ROTS now (I actually think it's as good as ROTJ). However, TPM is just dreadfully bad and borderline unwatchable.

Horrible poster for a horrible movie. If you pay to see this then go kill yourself.
Good Lord!!! Quite a bit extreme, wouldn't you say? May I suggest you seek some help?

No, I have no interesting in paying to see a 3D version of a film I've already seen many times and have on DVD.

See I'd have to go the other way, AOTC tried to be dramatic and failed miserably. TPM is essentially trying nothing more than being a big children's adventure film, it's still too long and overcrowded of course, but I think AOTC had even worse problems.

That said, this poster looked pathetic at the theater (I at least expected a 3D look to it). It'll be lucky to do half the business the Lion King did.

I'm guessing you're right...I can't see this making more than $50 million in release, I'm guessing more along the lines of $30 million. I actually think George has NO INTENTION of releasing the Original Trilogy in 3D...he just wants to do the first three, and then he'll say they didn't make enough for him to continue with the others.
