OK . . . I'm officially PUMPED UP with this teaser page!!!

This was my all-time favorite cartoon growing up and I'm a big fan of most of Bruckheimer/Bay's films . . . I'm sure they will deliver big with this next summer!!!

I need something more than that to get me hyped, though I liked the dark music. What would have made it great would have been to hear the following:

V.O.-Soundwave, get me the analysis of this planet.

Other familiar voice: As you command, Megatron.

Not really. It enjoys the makings of a good popcorn, action, sci-fi flick, but not much more than that.

I'm sorry the answer we were looking for is "I was being a smartass since the subtitle Prime Directive has a very Robocop-ish vibe to it."

If you'd looked at my earlier posts, you'd have noted I'm very familiar with who the original voice actors were.

Exactly my point. It's not exactly like it's going to be Citizen Kane.

Ironic that however unlikely it might seem, Transformers and Citizen Kane share a common bond with Orson Welles, who had Transformers the movie as his swan song performance. Go figure.

I saw this at IGN, and I really hope this does not make the final cut. If it is, then damn you Michael Bay.

X360: More Than Meets the Eye?
Microsoft's next-gen system might be transforming in a film near you.
by Kathleen Sanders
June 10, 2006 - SPOILER ALERT! According to a review of leaked script from The Movie Reporter Michael Bay's upcoming Transformers movie is more for sale than meets the eye.

According to the script synopsis many of our favorite home electronics are going to make special Transformer-style cameos. According to the author, "For reasons that I won't get into we see an I-Pod, X-Box 360 and Plasma screens sprout legs and transform just a bit." If this scene makes it into the final movie we're sure it will draw more groans from the audience than move units off the shelves.

Who would you like to see voice these consumer-friendly robots? Would the 360 be an Autobot or a Decepticon? Why don't you tell us what you think in our forums?

Never heard of that one, chanster.
Spoiler:
Or did you mean Soundwave? Anyway, the whole X-Box thing reminds me of him and his walkman transformation. The same holds true for Blaster and Reflector (I think that was the name of the three transformers that combined to form a camera) and Perceptor.

Of course, I was being a smartass as well, but I forgot about the Prime Directive subtitle. Actually, that seems to have been dropped and it's just "Transformers".

I see.

I noticed the title change too. It's a much simpler way to distinguish this film from the original animated feature than adding some silly subtitle.

Spoiler:
South Park did this as well, but it was with Chef's new tv and it turned into an ED-209 clone... Another Robocop connection. I'm going Decepticon, especially since the whole point of consumer electronic transformers has got to be surveliance courtesy of the NSA, I presume.

Well,

Spoiler:
Seeing as how Walkman's and tape recorders are rather dated now, I guess it makes sense to update them for the movie. I just hope it's not done as a blatant advertisement as opposed to subtle. I also hope Microsoft doesn't try to be cute by issuing a limited edition XBOX 360 with legs or something.

July 5th? Maybe in time for a teaser with Pirates of the Caribbean?
