Who gives a crap who the actors cast are...the movie isn't called actors, its called Transformers. If they have cars and planes that tranform into large robots, guess what, I'm in!!

As for the voice actors, Michael Bay confirmed in an interview that all the old voice actors would be considered for the voice roles again - though we're talking 20 years later, they may not sound the way they did back then.

Can anybody confirm that Peter Cullen (the guy that originally voiced Optimus Prime) is the same guy that does the majority of movie previews? You know the guy with the "In a world" voice. If that's actually the same guy then he still sounds almost exactly the same as he did 20 years ago, so he'd obviously make the perfect Prime. He also did the voice of Ironhide if they chose to have him be a character too.

From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
I think he does voices on cartoon network commercials too

Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime, Slugslinger, Streetwise, Wingspan, Nightstick, Ironhide) does some trailer voices. There are actually a handful of guys that do those "In a world" voices, not just one guy. Off the top of my head, he did the Spawn trailer.

I do know Frank Welker (Megatron, Soundwave, Wheelie, Abu in Aladdin, most every animal or strange creature you hear in a movie) still sounds great and is still active.

Chris Latta (Starscream, Wheeljack, Krunk, Sparkplug, Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe and the crossover episode) sadly passed away during the first season of The Simpsons (he was the original voice of Mr. Burns).

Scatman Crothers (Jazz) also passed away.

Victor Caroli (the narrator) might still be around be he hasn't worked since 1986 (narrating the direct-to-video Transformers: Five Faces of Darkness) so who knows if he's still up to it (although him narrating the trailers and the movie would be sweet - assuming the movie doesn't suck).

Corey Burton (Brawn, Shockwave, Sunstreaker, Wideload, Spike Witwicky, Dion, Vector Sigma) is still working. He was Brainiac in JLU and he works on several other shows.

Most are still around, really. Just some of the major players passed away.

He makes a decent Eeyore, but he's not voicing in the tentative Transformers movie (is that what you are asking?).

He hasn't voiced Prime in the last 3 or 4 series, and didn't in the Japanese versions.

At the American Idol press day, some news related to TRANSFORMERS happened to pop up. Glenn Morshower, who plays Aaron Pierce on 24, hinted that he has been added to the cast of the Michael Bay helmed film.

Morshower also mentioned that the film would be titled Prime Directive. This is not 'official' information and there is no word saying if this is a subtitle or a stand alone title. Considering the previously known title was TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE, it seems logical to assume that the movie will be titled: TRANSFORMERS: PRIME DIRECTIVE.

Transformers: Prime Directive.... hmmmmm.... dont know what to say to that

Sounds like a Sci-Fi Pictures Original title.

Dammit - I don't give two shits about the humans. I even hated the humans on the TV show, as I felt they didn't add much to anything.

I hope we get scenes with just the Transformers, not scenes of humans talking about Transformers.

I know. I remember reading that some characters will be different vehicles than the cartoon/comic/toy line.

At least Optimus is a truck.

WHAT THE FUCK? If you're not gonna do Devastator right, don't bother. Shit. And Bumblebee is a fucking Camaro? Uh, it's all over his name. Bumblebee. You don't think "Camaro" when you hear that name. It's a fucking beetle for crying out loud.

i'm scared by the statement "optimus is a truck". the immediate idea that pops to my mind is a pick-up truck, not a frickin' semi-truck. if i had typed that post, i would've said "optimus is a semi", not "optimus is a truck"... *crosses fingers*

I have to agree with Bumblebee...

If you want to showcase this new camaro just create a new character to go along with the rest. Bumblebee is a major character, up there with Optimus & Megatron. Way to fuck it up.

in one of those links, someone in the forum explains why bumblebee looks like that:

Volkswagon will not allow Hasbro the rights to any of their cars anymore because they don't want them to be associated with war in any fashion (given their auspicious beginnings under the Third Reich). Therefore, the movie will not be allowed to use a Vee-Dub Bug either. As for everyone wondering why they didn't just go with a Mini Cooper. Well, Mini wouldn't license rights to the Cooper to Hasbro either because they came up with their own transforming robot Cooper. Seriously, go check out Mini's website. It's on there.

Pics of the Police Car are pretty neat.

Bumblebee not being a compact kinda sucks, but its a great looking car and should look real nice on the screen.

That tank is pretty cool.
People are saying that Megatron will be a jet, hopefully Starscream and his ilk are around too. Can' t wait to see the actual robots.
