Claims to include the Bootleg Cut, but not whether the BC is in 4k.

The existing disc has both cuts in 4K. No reason to believe they'd drop it just because it's not in a steelbook anymore.

Re: UHD release announcements

Did anyone pick-up the new Mad Max discs today?

I read that The Road Warrior (1981) has altered sound effects and music volume in comparison to the 2013 BD?

I got my steelbooks in yesterday. Haven't watched them yet. I love these movies but unless something is really blatantly different, I doubt I would notice.

Re: UHD release announcements

They were. I'm assuming this is a re-release without the digibook packaging?

Yes, they were, 4 years ago. It must be a reissue or price drop to coincide with the release of No Way Home.

Of the Mad Max 4Ks? All copies of the films mentioned are affected.

Warner Bros. hasn't announced how its handling a replacement program or future pressings yet.

UPDATE: Warner Bros. will be replacing Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior but NOT Mad Max: Beyond The Thunderdome

Now then, speaking of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, we’ve learned that the studio tech team has investigated and found that there is an issue with the audio options on their new 4K Ultra HD of Mad Max 2, as reported. The good news is that they’ve also found that the audio on the studio’s 4K UHD of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is just fine, so the problem is only on the Mad Max 2 disc. Retailers are reporting that the studio has recalled copies already in stores, and the studio tells us that they’ll have an official statement shortly on their plans to correct the disc. Rest assured, we’ll post an update here when we have it

So any reason that MMBT was originally thought incorrect and now it is not?

Thank you for the updates!

If I'm not mistaken, it was initially believed that the 5.1/2.0 audio on MMBT were down-mixes of the Atmos track.

It's been confirmed that they are not.

Re: UHD release announcements

Scream Factory formally announced The Howling, which we already knew was coming, but the surprising news…? Alligator, at long last!

Both are coming in February.

Pretty high price. I think I paid around the same amount for the SM Trilogy plus the two ASM movies in the exclusive Steelbook cases from Best Buy.

Re: UHD release announcements

Do not that much for that. I got the digibook 4K trilogy for around $26 on Amazon. And the two Garfield digipack for $20.
