Re: UHD release announcements
And assuming someone takes the time to create an English subtitle file (spoiler: someone will), there are players that allow you to add subtitles to a movie via thumb drive.

And besides, more consumer demand for that type of product might help Toho make the decision to release something similar in other regions.
Since Criterion seems to be gathering up Toho/kaiju movie rights, makes me wonder if they'll do something for it.

I have to be a bit more picky with what I spend on home video nowadays, but for this film I would pay an arm and a leg to have it in my collection.

I totally splurged on that Search for Spock set. That’s been a personal favorite of mine since I was a kid in the eighties.

Japan release
The Imaginary (via Studio Ponoc) | May 15 / English subtitles listed
https://www.waltdisneystudios.jp/studio/others/2331
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0CWVMJ957
https://www.hmv.co.jp/en/news/article/240312500/
Movie will be streaming exclusively later this year on Netflix https://www.netflix.com/title/81565710. Studio Ponoc formed a partnership with Netflix with film and future projects. Most Netflix exclusive anime don't get home video releases. I won't be surprised if this remains streaming only outside of Japan.

Re: UHD release announcements
I just got an email from Zavvi that the 4K release of Seven got pushed to 2025 by Warner Bros.
We have an update on your pre-order of Se7en Ultimate Collector's Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook – Warner Bros have asked us to update you with the following message:
Thank you for your advanced pre-order for Seven 4K . We are thrilled for you to see it beautifully remastered in UHD. We are working behind the scenes to bring you the most pristine version of the film possible. To that end, we will be shifting the release to 2025. We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to sharing the product with you in the near future.
The exact date is not know yet so we will be updating the website with a holding date very soon.
We are assured the product will be worth the wait but we will all unfortunately have to be patient for longer than expected to find out ‘What’s In The Box’
