Yes it was a bonus disc that was included when you ordered the 4 disc set (2 blu 2 DVD) direct from the them. I think it cost like $29.99 and the bonus DVD was an extra.

The bonus Blu had like 3 hours of additional stuff. Some of the chapters match what is listed on that page for the DVD. So does the content overlap?

Hopefully Shout ships it early. I haven't ordered directly from Shout in ages, but I recall that the past shipments I got came in early. Really looking forward to them, especially for this Halloween.

Shout sent an email that they’re shipping these sets via UPS. Normally they just use USPS. Sounds like they’re trying to make sure it gets out by the street date (October 13th).

Are those clear cases? Minor nitpick but black would have looked better. Like they did for the Halloween set.

It’s been happening a lot lately with Amazon UK, Canada, etc. COVID mixed with postal issues I guess.

Just found out I’m getting this for my bday early. Bday in Nov and I don’t have to pay. So awesome!! Good, so now I can save for DotD! But this will be great and hope they did the 3D right. I think I asked before and pretty sure it’s real or native 3D, so Blu should be good, like House of Wax and Dial M for Murder. I know the movie had some intentionally dumb popout effects and I’m sure that’s it. But some depth would be nice too, but not holding out hope.

I was on the fence about this release anyway. If my order gets cancelled I doubt I’ll seek it out elsewhere.

I’m not complaining but I find it kind of odd that they used the classic font for all of the New Line movies instead of the actual font used foe those movies. I’d say they are going for consistency but they used the white and blood for 1 & 2 and the different fonts/sizes for the subtitles.

I noticed that too. Another nitpicky thing, but a tad annoying. I wonder if these have reversible artwork. The Halloween set used the original art (front and spine) for the films.

They are using the original art just like the Halloween set. No reversible covers.

For anyone interested, a cool person on Blu-ray dot com shared a fan cut of “The Final Chapter” that they made. It has the alternate ending with audio as well as a decent amount of extra footage/deleted scenes not in the regular cut. About 2/3 of the deaths are longer with extra gore. There is of course the expected variance of video quality that typically comes with these alternate cuts, but it is a very cool watch regardless, check it out!

True. Not sure what I was really thinking with that comment. It’s not a big deal about the spine art. At least they are using the theatrical posters for the individual cases for the films.

I'm really looking forward to the arrival of this one. I'm not sure if I'm gonna squeeze them all in for the October Horror Movie Challenge, but it will be nice to give it a try.
