Did not order for this very reason. Box set like this should have had A+ auditing.
Avoiding SF box set releases.

Re: Friday The 13th BR Box Set in the works.
omg. why is anyone complaining??!!
this is a comprehensive, as Definitive Edition of movies (short of 4K) we hate to love or love to hate as we're ever gonna get. it has everything we could possibly need and then 10x more. it has the 3rd in Real 3D, uncut versions of one that has never been on blu before. there is what? 10-20 seconds of messed up footage spread across 3 discs? so fucking what? the disc replacement couldn't have been easier and they will be sent in few weeks. Shout!/Scream is a fantastic company and will continue to be so. and have rectified other mistakes in past simply and easily.
when you got so much content spread across 15 discs or so, some minor, itty bitty fuckups might happen and these aren't even that big of a deal. some single discs are authored incorrectly and particular company makes restitution, it happens. they've put out this, Halloween, so many single movie horror, they are gold, still, as far as i'm concerned. they just put out great stuff and most of the time (98%) they are pristine and packed to gills with extra stuff.
so enough bitching and moaning. this is a fantastic set that is being rectified by distributor in record time. case closed. rant over.

100%
This has made me an even bigger SF fan. Three minor issues in a fantasic 16 disc set and they mobolized a replacement program for all 3 discs 3 days after the release of said set. Some people who collect physical media just aren't happy unless they have something to whine like a baby about.

Yeah, it does suck about the errors, but it’s still a well put together set that’s packed to the gills. A few mistakes don’t ruin it, and Shout was prompt about a replacement program.

The set that I forgot that I ordered from Deep Discount arrived today. It was also in perfect shape with no silicate films. I'm planning to return that one to Target since I can do that locally and that's where I ordered my other set.

I have no interest in this set either way, but regardless of how minor the issues are, if you can't see the problem with this then I don't know what to tell you. This is FAR from shout's first stroll down the path of mix ups and disc replacements. One would think with a project of this size they would be extra careful to QC the set given the cost of replacing all those discs after the fact. Sure it's 99% fine, but at this point I don't trust shout and am actually glad when one of the other boutiques get something over them.

Decided to scoop up the last remaining set from Best Buy today via curbside. It's a fantastic one. I went through the discs and got no dupes, no missing discs, andno scratches or mysterious slices. I still have my Target one backordered, so if that one ends up getting shipped, I'll either return it or just sell it on Ebay.

Anyone switch cover art on most discs? I switched all, but why would only 6-8 not have reversible? Anyway, like not the same ole that default side is. The others little more unique and not always seen. Are 6-8 same discs as old set, is that reason? I remembering reading some were same disc. New Friday (2009), I believe, is exact. Couple others I don’t recall...

I've got one as well. I ended up not going with the OLED because I didn't have the funds at that time (really wish I did), but it's still a great set, has 3d and HDR.

I forgot how terrible the characters are and the acting is in Freddy vs. Jason. What's up with the lame knockoff of Jay (Jason Mewes)? Finally, they couldn't remove the old ass trailers from the disc files before pressing them?

Freddy vs Jason is just the recycled old New Line disc. Same goes with F13 2009 being the old WB disc.

I watched the first two films last night -- man, the 4K restorations are phenomenal. I'm gonna do Part 3 & 4 this morning.

And the alternate Part 8 artwork (I ❤️NY) was probably still off limits due to the NY tourism bureau.

Too bad they can’t use the I ❤️ NY poster. Such a cool one.

Just received my copy from amazon. They actually put it in a box that was the perfect size for it along with air pillows. No duplicate discs, scratches, box cutter slashes on the box or the spines so I am happy. Really nice looking set.
Now just to wait for the replacement discs
