I would too. Never send a metal set like that in a padded envelope. That is just asking for trouble.
Looks good to me. Fair starting bid. you may want to give the option of shipping media mail which would be half the cost of the priority shipping to the buyer. I ship and sell almost all my movies and music that way.
Having only one, higher charge for shipping may make your final sale price go a little lower. But then you price the shipping low and get a little higher sale price so it usually balances out.
Never hurts to have more pix. I include front, back, and usually everything in-between on all my sales.
i just hope that is the minimum you want for it. Because with auctions, it is all about the timing and who is looking at it.
I usually go on the lower "medium" side price with a "Buy It Now" after comparing to what has previously sold and then just gradually lower the prices after every two weeks if it doesn't sell. I always seem to have bad luck with auctions. They are only good for really hot items when they are selling at a certain time. Otherwise, you may get stuck with a small bid unless you get lucky and there is a bidding war.

EDIT: I just changed shipping to media mail and I'll add a few more pictures.

I want to throw my Friday the 13th set on there as well. I am just nervous about it. I would be pissed to sell it and then the new set get pulled or something wrong with it or whatever. It is probably one of the few of my sets that I have watched the movies several times.

I was nervous about it too, but everyone appears to be right that you better sell it now before the new set comes out. I think I decided to go ahead after finding out the low ball price at the used shop. If something unthinkable happens with my preorder and it gets cancelled I can rebuy all the movies with no issues.

Well I got it sold for $51.33. I messed up including a best offer option and I wish I got some bids but I think thats a good price. I'll ship it out tomorrow.

I’m keeping it. You’ll never get a tin like that again. Once people realize, it’ll soar, then maybe.

You probably netted closer to $35 with all the ebay and paypal fees. I laff the Shout set gets delayed or canceled indefinitely.

It was one of the fastest selling sets they have ever had on their website. It wont't be cancelled.

Yeah, I really hope that doesn't happen though. But you can still rock with the $15 8-movie collection like me though if it does.

Since it sounds like the new set will probably sell out fast, I'm gonna wait until that happens before I put my tin up for sale.I'm sure the price will go back up at that point.

And yes...ebay got wise several years ago and charges 10% on whatever you charge for shipping. They got sick of people selling something for 50 cents with a shipping charge of $50.

My total money I received was about $49.92 and it cost me about $5.00 or so for the shipping cost and the supplies to ship it out.

You have to buy a box too for your shipping supply? (To ship slow media mail 3 weeks possibly), personally, I’d just head to the post office and ask for 3-4 priority flat rate padded envelope (free!) and ship it that way, triple-quadruple that sucker for extra layers of protection and you should be fine and the buyer would receive it in 3-4 days instead.

I wish i could be more excited about the new Scream set. But i bet dollar for donut, there will be no subtitles on any of the documentaries, extras, and bonus discs. Love to be wrong though. If i am, I’ll pick this up in a heartbeat.

I am in Alabama and ship media mail on probably 75% of my stuff. It almost always gets to California or New York within a week. Most places even sooner.
Also...I learned my lesson on offering free shipping. Unless you are building that into your asking price, you are just losing money.

The only thing that doesn't seem clear is on F13 '09. It looks like the same disc as the original bluray but it doesn't list the two cuts of the movie. There is some debate in the facebook comment section but I think it should be the exact same content as the original disc.

But I do think that BD-ROM makes the most sense for things like scans of screenplays and magazine articles (which are mostly what I see these sorts of extras used for).

Any word on subtitles for the documentaries and interviews? Especially with the two bonus discs? This is really important for my old age here. Be really nice to have the full $150 value, being able to watch them.
