Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012
This really reminds me of how Amazon UK took the hit for me when my LE Battle Royale Set was taking forever to come. They just refunded the whole amount to me and said to just keep the set if it came. It did and it was very awesome of them. Customer Service is amazing from those guys. I'm really happy to get The Avengers now.
Just happy all around. Kept my pre order in still and I've still got that marked down price from before. Sooo I'm happy happy happy, mates. I really wonder what the new set will be though cuz...that case was all kinds of awesome. And they better throw in those IM features in too cuz that'd really make it worthwhile.

The email was sent to me as well. Amazon kicks ass!!!!! Not even sure what I'll do with it since I can hold out to watch it when the briefcase arrives. Any news of what else is now being included in the case or whatever the ultimate edition will be?

Got the same email. I have never had a bad experience with Amazon and positive experiences like this one make me want to spend more money with them.
And... I just ordered the bluray... again.

I was thinking of getting my Avengers 3D blu ray from Walmart to get the graphic novel bundle. However, it seems the graphic novel comes only with the non-3D blu ray version.

UK Edition DVD/Graphic Novel Bundle:
Bleeding Cool
Unboxing Avengers DVD And Season One “Graphic Novel”
It’s less of an original graphic novel… and more of a comic book digest, printed on paper that feels like a computer game manual. But take a look for yourself, bought exclusively from Asda today.
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/U0d1ChFGDFw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It’s a fun, witty read, giving us a series of Avengers stories, and we get a good run through the cast of the comic, with an eye to the movie watchers, but the shifting artists from chapter to chapter makes this rub a little raw against the more unified look of other Season One graphic novels. Also, yes, the production values are shockingly poor. If you like that sort of thing, you might want to wait for the hardcover.
But what you do get from writer Peter David in the back is the Marvel-style original synopsis for the comic. This kind of thing rarely make it to the public, it’s quite a revelation of process and intent.
As an extra with the DVD it’s rather nice. If the movie itself hadn’t been censored and the Joss Whedon commentary bumped. Oh and SPOILERS… here is proof that the UK version of Avengers has, as Brendon Connelly explained, been amended…

I knew that the packaging for that Walmart bundle was too small for a full size comic and I'm kinda used to oversized comics. I won't be picking this up this month hopefully in the near future it'll half off somewhere.

Someone posted an unboxing of the 3D set on blu-ray.com. Disney has gone the uber cheap route and stacked the discs. It's only a 2 disc case for the 3D version.

They did the same thing with the recent 3 disc Rescuers set. Very annoying (double annoying because I just ordered blu ray cases last night)

So the Blu-ray with DVD and the bonus disc that I swear was mentioned as being online only, which I ordered for a total of 37.93, will be available for 19.99 at their stores?!? I've been driving all day and I'm beyond tired so PLEASE tell me I'm reading that wrong.

Anyone think Amazon will drop the price of the 3D combo pack to $24.99? I pre-ordered it with the $5 coupon, but if they leave it at $29.99 I'd be better off cancelling and going to Target.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012
I'm not one to protest stores but I really hope this Target disc really is total fluff so I can get the set elsewhere. I e-mailed Target CS about my order and then I just went ahead and cancelled it before they could get back to me because I was so pissed.
Their page of Avengers releases is already a mess because of all the different versions but then you add the bonus disc, incorrect pictures and price drops that aren't automatically adjusted and it is one of the most confusing and aggravating online ordering experiences I have ever encountered.

Re: The Avengers - Sept. 25, 2012
So I used that coupon amazon sent out for the avengers briefcase set, and used it before the price drop would that mean i'd get that extra few dollars in credit back to me?
