I'll buy Videodrome even if there's no new extras on the disc. Keeping my dvd too, it has a great packaging.

I totally forgot to order Walkabout, it was in my cart and everything and I thought I placed the order.

Anyway, too late now. They've pushed that one up to $32.49 now.

Just a heads up. If you want the new M BD you can get it for $21, give or take a buck, using the same B&N deal that everyone has been getting Doctor Zhivago and other things with.

Or wait until July and get it for $13...

I didn't have any luck using those coupons at B&N last time and wasted hours going from store to store. I'm not the only one who had more issues than usual with it this last time. I'm done with that deal.

Haha, to be fair Brent, it's probably karma since you (I think it was you) successfully got Amazon to PAY YOU for taking Monsters Inc and Up off their hands. If that wasn't you, then I apologize.

Just ordered it for $18.19 about an hour ago. Seems there was a price drop.

I've got "Stagecoach", "Everlasting Moments", and "Red Desert" pre-ordered. Looks like I'll definitely have to add "The Thin Red Line" to that list.

Wow. Really excited about both Videodrome and Antichrist.

Already own the Criterion DVD release of Videodrome and the UK BD of Antichrist, but will definitely buy them again

I'm curious to see how Criterion tries to replicate the Videodrome DVD packaging, if at all.

Agreed. I bet we will get some cool new cover art as well.

Quote: Amazon reveals August and/or September slate (?) -- Hold on to your wallets kids:

Antichrist
Videodrome
Seven Samurai

And I'm unaware of a Darjeeling Express, so this may be error on Amazon's part (in that case I think you know what this should be)...

The Darjeeling Express

(And the afore mentioned The Thin Red Line.)
Such awesome news! The Thin Red Line is one of my alltime favorite movies. I loved Darjeeling Limited as well. I'll be picking up both. I'm curious about Videodrome. Don't think I'll be picking up Antichrist. It's not something I really want to watch again.

Also of note from the May newsletter is official confirmation of Criterion/Janus acquiring the Chaplin catalog -- I'm sure many of these will make their way to BD going into and throughout 2011

I'm actually pretty meh on Breathless. Give me A Woman Is A Woman or Band of Outsiders first.

Breathless is welcome news, though I would have preferred Weekend.

Good news. Will definitely be getting Breathless. On a similar note, I hope Criterion somehow acquires The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, but I don't know how likely that scenario would be.
