I guess I'll be the first to post who is excited about Brakhage! Love the cover art.

I'm glad we're getting M so soon after the MoC release. I was bummed that it was Region B.

I'm in for M and for Walkabout. If Brakhage drops to $20 I might consider that, too.

I'm already selling my DVDs of M and Walkabout in preparation, but Stagecoach is a must have as well. Can't wait.
Just wondering how Criterion got the rights to even release Stagecoach. Have they released a Warner property since the laserdisc days?

Glad Stagecoach is coming at last and on blu to boot. May hang onto the two disc Warner edition just for the American Masters doc that's on disc two since I didn't think it would be ported over to the Criterion disc.

Because Warner has released Stagecoach a couple of times and repackaged it at least twice as well, maybe they think it's more profitable to not invest in the production of a new release when they could just sit back and collect a licensing fee. There could also be some sort of quid pro quo...we'll license this to you, but you license to us the extras you produced for these titles...

re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread
From the DVD era, I'm not sure if there are any, but Criterion released Citizen Kane, Blade Runner, North by Northwest, Singin' in the Rain, Forbidden Planet, The Wizard of Oz, The Adventures of Robin Hood, 2001, and the original King Kong on LD. Warner's licensing agreement with Criterion was only signed last year, but I didn't know if Criterion had maybe compiled extras for something that had wound up under the Warner banner after being released or if another agreement had been grandfathered in...
I don't know what their deal with Warner is like. Maybe Criterion insisted on having some marquee titles like Stagecoach...maybe Warner was just willing to part ways with it since they've made their money off a couple of DVD releases already.

Rather interesting event between the two, no? I'd like to know more of their agreement. And what we get out of that cuz...Stagecoach is an awesome event on itself.
