Maybe it's just me, but I don't really consider that a re-release. Technically it is, but they're just repackaging it without the crap 3D version that most people won't use anyway (and I'm sure they can see that form of 3D is on the way out). That's not the same as if they were adding new features or remastering it.

Does anyone know if Magnolia's North American release of Mother has been canceled/postponed?

My Amazon.ca order was canceled with the reason that this title will no longer be released, but it's still up for sale on Amazon.com, with the original July 20th release date intact. I wonder if this is just a case of Amazon.ca no longer importing it.

On the Unearthed Films newsletter, it mentioned the fact that they are working on a BD release of Rock & Rule that will be available for only about a year.

The great Weinstein bucket of crap dump. I'll be stickin' with my $2 HD DVDs for 3 of those. Really wish Vivendi would revist some of the other missed Weinstein releases between HD DVD and Blu-ray.
