Scott,

When I started my post, you had just blanks down for Sessa17 so it looked like you blew him off or something, thus I did him rather than you.

Sessa17,

First, damn fine collection. Period.

Three Best

Chinatown
Monty Python - The Complete Collection
Videodrome

* Just wanted to move away from the usual stuff ...

Three Worst

Coffy
Commando
Poison Ivy - The New Seduction

Three Most Needed

Since you went for the Alfred Hitchcock Boxset, I would suggest the two top ranked Hitchcock films that you don't have.

Vertigo
Rear Window

Since you have Mulholland Falls you should have the better film that has Mulholland in the title ...

Mulholland Dr.

I got you ctyankee!

Wow. Just wow. Very nice collection!

Three Best: (It's really unfair to single out three!)
Brazil: The Criterion Collection One of my all time favorites. Great DVD to boot...
Dead Alive Anyone with Dead Alive in their collection is OK by me.
Run Lola Run A gem that more people should have. Including me.

Three Worst:
The Big Hit Ewwwwww!
Riverdance Live from New York City No comment. (except for that comment)
The Fast and the Furious: Collector's Edition I live my life a BLAH BLAH BLAH....

Three Missing:
Buffy The Vampire Series : The Rest Since you have the first two seasons.
Cowboy Bebop: The Perfect Sessions I think it's one of the best anime series ever...
Raising Arizona You have a bunch of Cohen Bros. stuff, but not this one (one of their best, IMHO). And a cheap one to boot!

bballing - you got no link... So I'll do wewantflair again.

Best:
Fight Club - Everybody needs this movie
LOTR Extended Editions - the best 3 movies and the best 3 dvds ever!
Reservoir Dogs Mr Pink Special ed - Great movie and great dvd and you have the best one ( I have Pink too)

Worst:
Anaconda - Not the best "animal kills everyone" movie around :-)
Starship Troopers 2 - I know, I have it too, this movie could have and should have been done justice
Men in Black - I just really hate this film

Needed:
Mad Max 2 - You have number 1 and the second one is good too.
Saving Private Ryan DTS
The Simpsons - Series 2 - 5

All up though one of the very best collections I've seen.

Go easy on my chick flicks, they're not really "mine" - Yeah I know - "They all say that..."

You should give it another shot...there's a sequel coming out either later this year or next year.

Here you go JAWN

BEST:

Alien Quadrilogy
Donnie Darko Director's Cut
Fight Club SE

WORST:

(kind of difficult...I don't particularly prefer most anime, so I won't touch on that)

Road Trip (Tom Green should stick to television and not being around animals)
So I Married an Axe Murder (OK...far from great...far cry from Austin Powers)
Samurai Jack (I don't consider this anime...I consider it SUCKS...the shows are so drawn out and he's such a dull character)

NEEDED:

Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Why just Vol. 2 and No Vol. 1? That's half the story)
Star Wars Trilogy (If you have LOTR Trilogy, you should have this too)
Family Guy Vol. 1 & 2 (If you like Futurama and Simpsons, you'll love this!!)

Here's my collection again:

Best:

- Goodfellas: SE (superb transfer of a superb movie)
- Predator: SE (another excellent DVD for one of the most fun movies I've ever seen)
- Boyz 'n the Hood: Anniversary Edition (amazing film and very good DVD)

Worst:

- The Big Lebowski (decent movie, pretty crappy DVD though)
- Face/Off (ewww...)
- Good Will Hunting (I irrationally hate this movie)

Recommended:

- The Matrix (lots of martial arts-oriented action movies, but no Matrix?)
- L.A. Confidential (you have Usual Suspects, and this smokes that)
- Leon: Superbit Deluxe (well worth the double dip)

Don't diss my 3 Ninjas! I have every DVD Hulk Hogan has ever appeared on, that's why that movie is in my collection

Grolim: Thanks for the kind words.

Best:
- American History X (R4) Awesome movie, and great that you don't have the crappy R1 snapper
- Glengarry Glenross (R2) Insanely underrated movie. Fuck you, that's my name!
- Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (R2) Fun, fun movie. Great DVD too.

Worst:
- K-Pax. Totally worthless.
- Little Nicky - Sandler's worst movie besides Eight Crazy Nights.
- A Man Apart - so intensely boring

Recommended:
- 24 Season 3 (you need this!)
- Better off Dead (for your lady friend who likes John Cusack)
- High and Low (saw you are experimenting with Kurosawa w/ Seven Samurai, but I like this way more)

If anyone wants to do me again:

Donnie Darko
The Matrix
The Passion of the Christ

Worst 3:
The Thin Red Line
Underworld
Peter Pan

Most needed 3:
Hard Eight (because I see you have Boogie Nights and Punch Drunk Love and this is also by PT Anderson and superb)
Barton Fink (because you have Fargo and Intolerable Cruelty and this is also by the Coen Brothers and one of their best)
13 Conversations About One Thing (because it's just outstanding and I think you'll like it given your existing diverse tastes)

Bonus:
Donnie Darko original (you can't have one without the other )

American Psycho - Unrated Version
Nosferatu the Vampyre
Ed Wood

Worst 3:
Armageddon
Adaptation
Independence Day

Recommended 3:

Slowcloud:

Great collection! Very tough to do a 3/3/3 for you. Here goes....

Best:

Memento (both versions?)
Videodrome
Brazil

Worst:

Sky Captain (never quite got into this movie, although it was technically impressive)
Alien Resurrection (Quadrilogy and the separate release? You are a glutton for punishment!)
Plan 9 from Outer Space (OK, I have this too...should it be under worst, or best? )

Need:

Monty Python's Life of Brian (Is the Criterion still available?)
Leon: The Professional
Kill Bill (to complete your Tarentino collection)

John

Just to defend the way I catalog... I only have Alien Resurrection in the box set. I like to list the individual titles because they have more detail as far as content on DVDs, and they are individual films. I do have both Mementos, though. They have different features, and one is easy to select "play" for the film, the other is a puzzle. Oh, and I have Sky Captian for sale or trade, if anyone is interested! It's mint condition! Only watched once, and I skipped the commentary tracks! (some people really liked it, and I respect that, but it was a blind buy for me).

Now someone do Damed and/or John's collection! Or to go with protocol: Damed does John's collection and the next poster Damed.
