I sent mine at the end of February and no confirmation email, no record in their database yet
I still have the receipt of purchase in case I need to dispute with them. But that's gonna take ages.

Just got my replacements ...again! Guess cartman's not the only one now. For once Universal finally screwed up in my favor! Think it would be worth my while to sell them on eBay?

i called and i'm not in their database yet, either. i sent it out mid-feb, too. when i called, the guy who picked up was really considerate and even spent time to flip through the shipment papers he had. he even asked for my addy and ph# so he could call me next wednesday, if my discs show up as shipped on that day. i really doubt he'll come through with the phone call, even if it does ship.
that guy also said he had a lot of shipments due to go out, so maybe they're just queuing them up each week. hopefully a data entry temp didnt fux up any of our information letters included with the discs.
havent had to exchange discs since ninja scroll. manga was awesome with that situation. damn universal!
still waiting...

Rack up another double set of replacements.
Now if I could just find a single copy of the first one, they might be worth a bit more (can't imagine anyone would want JUST 2 and 3).

Paramount seems to not be able to get anything right when it comes to this entire BTTF thing. I received a SECOND set of replacement discs from them today, in addition to my first set of replacement discs. I really do not know what I should do with them.

has anyone called them about these double shipments? this is getting really sloppy. people getting two sets, others getting none, some not even on their lists.
i'll give them another week until i give them a mouthful.

Two months after returning the discs and I'm not on their list
If you have no use for your second sets of discs, I can take them off your hand and then forget about resolving it with their sloppy exchange service.

they record the conversation you had with the first CSR, and in my case, they have my name and number down from calling them last week. basically, i'm sure if you bitch them out enough they'll ship one out to you. as of now, they're saying to wait and see if you show up on a list.
personally, i'm giving them a call on wednesday then giving them one more week until i bitch them out.

V2 packaging?
if anyone has a pic of the new "V2" packaging label/indication (for those of us who are waiting to do a retail exchange), please post one...
any info on retailers getting the "V2" packaging yet? if so, please specify what city/state.
thanks!

Those of you receiving 2 sets, what have you done differently than those of us receiving 1 set? Has anyone figured it out?
I've only received the one set. All I did was call, got my postage paid envelope, sent in my disks with a letter, and never heard anything else until my replacements showed up in my mailbox.

Double sets showing up - wow!
As long as my 1 set shows up - I'll be satisfied.
Looks like things are really starting to be screwed up.....

**Wait and just swap?**
Hey all...
Ok, i got the BTTF set when it first came out -- and i have the replacement/prepaid envelopes in my posession.... However, i haven't yet taken the plastic off of the set... So, i was wondering. Should i send the 2 discs in -- or just hold out for the v2 in stores and swap it -- i don't mind waiting.....
Thanks,
Matt

I haven't even gotten my envelopes yes...although I did just call week before last, and apparently they're pretty busy....I've opened the package, so I can't swap at the store [that would be nice, however.]

It is rumored (but obviously not confirmed until the v2 boxes start showing up) that the first disc will also be improved. Apparently, the set does not have widescreen trailers for the films, and that is fixed in v2 *for all 3 discs*.
So, if you do the mail-in exchange, you'd still have the fullframe trailer on your first disc... a minor thing for most people, but since you have a sealed set anyway, you might as well wait.

The first disc will NOT be redone to include a widescreen trailer. There is nothing to indicate any such thing. Universal has made no mention of a "V2" of "Part I" in any of their official statements, and Bob Gale clearly was only referring to "Part II" and "Part III" when he talked about redoing the trailers for the "V2" discs in the Home Theater Forum chat. I want this stupid rumor to stop. There will be no "V2" of "Part I", PERIOD.
