A: When the initial run of the DVDs has been sold, the new versions will be the only versions available. I don't know what they'll put on the box to indicate this. But if you have the original pressings, Universal will replace them with the new ones when they're available. The official website should have the number to call, and BTTF.com will have the correct info. The new pressings will not be availble until next month -- probably late in the month. The remastering is supposed to be finished this week. The new pressings will also have letterbox versions of the trailers. Why they put the fullscreen trailers on the widescreen editions is beyond me.
I certainly wouldn't say that he was "clearly" referring to the last 2 discs. This statement is from a question about buying them in stores (i.e. -- all 3 discs). And, it doesn't seem very logical to 'fix' the trailers for 2 and 3, but leave 1 as-is. (Not that Universal could ever be accused of being logical.)

I didn't really put a reason on mine. I just put something like "Please send the Back to the Future II and III 'V2' replacements to:"
and then my address.

i called again and i still wasnt on any list, but i was told that i'd receive the replacement discs no matter what. apparently tuesdays are when they ship them out. i guess i'll just call every friday until i get them. well, now i know what it's like to be one of the unlucky apparently few.

macross233, please keep us the unlucky few informed of your progress. I think I may have to 'hassle' them more frequently until I get my replacement.

i've actually done temp work involving data entry, so if universal is doing anything like what i've done, these delays are not suprising. i also know that calling often doesnt get anything done any quicker because i've worked with phone customer service reps before. it's just when your letter gets entered into the computer. obviously, the stack wasnt made chronologically or in any apparent order. it's just completely disorganized, and hopefully our info wasnt just lost.

yes. after watching macross plus all those years ago on the original USA VHS release, i became a huge fan.

Upon my 2nd phone call, the operator (who remembered me from the first call) entered me directly into the mailing list queue as we were on the phone. I heard him type it in, he repeated all the info back to me, and 'll be receiving my discs this week.

Why dont you people who got two sets be good samaritans and hook up those that arent getting them???

I got my set back a week or so ago, and if I got a 2nd set I would ship it to one of you guys...???

Is there a deadline on when you can get replacements? I still haven't gotten around to opening my "flawed" set but I suppose I could open it just for getting the replacements.

Anyone spied a "V.2" in a B&M? I've been looking but haven't seen anything yet. Although, I'm not exactly surprised either.
