I went to my local Suncoast and found the DVD in the comedy section (Only 1. $29.99). I took it up to the counter and gave it to the girl. Right before she rang it up, she looked closely at the sticker.

"I can't sell this to you."

"Excuse me?"

"Are there any more out there?"

Before I can respond, she RUNS to the comedy section and looks around. After finding nothing, she returns to the counter.

"This isn't supposed to be out until next Tuesday. If I sell this to you, I could get in trouble."

I tried begging, pleading, offering dinner, etc but she still said no. She said the store could get fined up to $1000.00 if they're caught selling something before it's supposed to be out.

I thanked her (she WAS doing her job) and walked out. Before I made it to the exit, she called out "Don't feel bad. It'll be out next week!"

Somehow, I don't think so.....

Can't go into too much detail, but word is that there's a major flaw in the disc that will cause problems during playback.

If anyone gets one, please confirm~

just picked up a copy through dvdlegacy, noticed he had 1 more copy left...go to his ebay store and search for it

I have no problem either, and I watched everything. Watched some of the deleted scenes several times even.

Well its been forever and I still haven't gotten any response from the people at HALF.com. I found that last auction DVDLEGACY had and did a buy it now. We'll see if he actually has it.

I ordered from DVD Legacy a few days ago. They already refunded my payment because of the recall.

Well, perhaps I shouldn't pay then.

Did you order from half.com or on ebay? I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled their half.com orders in an effort to maximize their profits on eBay. Of course, the fact that they use "buy it now" as an option would sort of defeat the purpose.

My girlfriend still doesn't know why her sweaters are always stretched out.

I ordered from Ebay on Sun. night. They refunded my payment on Mon. afternoon. Still hoping for my orders from Amazon, WalMart, and the guy with 55 in stock on Half.com(this one got confirmed and is to ship later today, supposedly.) This is my fav. movie and the only movie that I would grossly overpay for, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

I'm just hoping I get one of the 4 I've seen. But it looks like I wont be getting the one on Ebay. I've gotten no response to neither of the two HALF.com orders even though people that have ordered after me have. My only hope is that jonpeters on the boards will get the two he thinks he is.

Now the returnwarehouse guy is back up on Half.com. Just ordered from him too.

This is just plain wrong on dvdlegacy's part. If they knew of the recall on monday why are they still taking orders on ebay. I ordered a copy via "buy it now" just hours ago. They are claiming to have the dvd in hand and ready to ship out. Sounds to me like they are playing games. --Edward

Well that was strange. I placed an order through returnwarehouses. Got all the way through it. Now I've gotten no email, and its gone back to not being available. Though I show it under my purchase list on the site. I'm confused.

They are one of those companies that takes on more than they can handle and have no clue on how to run a business. I've dealt with them in the past so I know. But I thought I would take a chance on them in this case, it was worth the risk. If you have any problems getting a refund I have their CS # if needed.

I'm sure I'll need it if it ever gets past the point of "awaiting confirmation"... but now i have 3 ed wood dvds with that next to it.

There is an R3 NTSC one-disc version of this available in Korea (any GI's at Camp Casey care to confirm if it's still available) that Diabolik Dvd used to carry (I bought mine there a year ago), but a quick glance at their website doesn't show it. It is anamorphic WS 1.85:1 with Dolby 5.1 Surround. Picture and sounds quality is fine. Extras include a music video, theatrical trailer, documentary "Let's shoot this F#%@r!", featurette "The Theremin," featurette "Making Bela," featurette "When Carol Met Larry," featurette "Pie Plates Over Hollywood," audio commentary track. No deleted scenes, unless there's an easter egg somewhere. Subtitles are deletable. This might be an option for those who dislike anamorphic PAL conversions. Frankly this whole situation shows a lack of respect for the consumer on BV's part: cancelling the DVD once, okay, I can understand that--but TWICE? These morons have their heads so deep in rectal defilade that any blondes among them are now permanently brunettes. I was planning on buying the US release when it came out, as I usually do when I buy a non-Reg. 1 release, but Gott in Himmel! these people do not deserve that consideration.

That was actually a very funny little story you just told. Had a real beginning, middle and end. With the last sentence/thought being very reflective. Gosh, Sofia Coppola could even make a small, independent film out of it. Seriously!

My local Suncoast at Palm Beach Mall let me pay for it in advance, and is saving me a copy for next Tuesday. I just called last night and still no recall in their system. But there's still so much damned time left before street date. Time is definitely not on my side.

If that is indeed the case, if would be nice if BV made that clear from the beginning. To leave everyone in the dark about the reason for this recall is inconsiderate. If it is indeed a major flaw in the disc itself, I think it is unforgiveable on their part for not immediately making this clear to everyone.
