I got a shipment notification last night but no cancellation on my end.
When you track the package, it says "Electronic Tracking Info Received" so who knows.

When I tried to cancel an order with Borders before, I was told they cannot cancel existing orders except for backorders. I also asked them to modify my shipping info last week on an order shipped to a local store, because I thought it had an incorrect name on it. They couldn't modify the address on an existing order.
I'm guessing this is due to their new web business using some sort of dropship fulfillment centers. They take the orders, pass them on to the fulfillment center and, once the order is transmitted, that's it. So that's a good sign for those of us who got in on these coupons.
I ordered the Miles Davis - Complete On The Corner sessions box for ~$31, which isn't too shabby. If I get it, I get it; if not, no big deal.

a 70% order is shipping, when hundreds of 80% orders (placed much earlier) are not yet? There really is no rhyme or reason to this. If we dont get our orders, fine. I expect this to be all for nothing. But if SOME people get them and some of us dont, thats gonna piss me off.

To be fair, while I'm sure there were people who ordered tons of stuff, this code got around the net FAST. Borders' site has always run a bit slow from what I remember anyways.

I got three small orders in. I've only gottan confrmation on the one (but charges for all three).
They can do what they want with the orders, but if these charges go through then I expect my other two orders to arrive the same day as my first if they decide to ship it.

My wife didn't get the email on shipment so she called today to see what was going on 'eek'! Anyways, she didn't mention the coupon, and they didn't mention it to her either. My Harry Potter boxed set is due to ship this week. My order with the three seasons of Weeds on blu is going to ship next week they said because they're on back order. They weren't backordered when I ordered them so it may have to do with the sale the other night, heh. But with people getting shipments, and them TELLING me my orders are shipping, I'm definitely back to a 'entitlement' and happy mood

'Nope and neither did they, but they told me that the Harry Potter set was being shipped this week and that Weeds won't ship until next week because it's back-ordered. They asked if I wanted to cancel or change or alter the order in any way because of the back order on those and I said no'.
So, close one. But however, it seems that either they're not scanning every order for this mis-hap, or they'll be honoring a good deal of them. YMMV though.

I saw the OP's post before anyone had responded to it. I immediately sprinted to Borders, put a couple of sets in my cart, and after a couple of frustrating hours of refreshing, I never made it past the credit card info page. My hopes for an early Christmas courtesy of Borders just wasn't in the cards.
