I recently bought $50 worth of Barnes & Noble gift cards for $25. If there are 20% member coupons and 15% non-member coupons, throw in my 10% membership discount, the gift cards, I am looking at $38 for four Criterions (includes cost of the gift cards sold).

I think that the Criterion sale has been on in July for the past several years. BTW, I recently got an email advertising a B&N mastercard that featured 5% back on B&N Purchases.

It has nothing to do with the coupons; the item you are trying to buy doesn't qualify. I noticed a bunch of items I wanted no longer qualify for coupons. If you look at the item page you'll see the following on items that do not allow coupons:

I wonder if this "coupon restriction" is just for today since B&N sent out a 25% coupon? Some DVDs I saw restricted today did not have that disclaimer last night when I was browsing on the website.

The pattern I'm seeing for items not eligible with the coupons are either some box sets or television series. Is that what everyone else is running across? It seems regular DVD and blu-ray movies are not restricted.
