I noticed this morning it appears the coupon restrictions are gone. Also if you still have a unused 25% coupon it should still be valid through today since the expiration date was extended an extra day.

I just tried a book pre-order, and it still doesn't work. I assume all pre-orders will not work.

Picked up the three Blu Ray disc set of APOCALYPSE NOW Full Disclosure Edition for a total of $15.93 shipped. Plus a sorry 2% cashback, but better than nothing. Very happy with this deal.

I've been getting a fair number of e-mails from B&N, most recently on the 28th, but no coupons.

I would bet that some lurkers/non-members redeem the codes. I have no info on this site, but I've seen the member-vs-lurker ratio on some other sites and the number of people who are just browsing without joining always is quite high, 2-1 or more. There seem to be a lot of people who just don't register, for whatever reason.

If anyone has a spare 25% off coupon to help out an old member, I'd really appreciate it. I'm about to place an order. Thanks!

I ordered APOCALYPSE NOW: FULL DISCLOSURE EDITION off of AMAZON but would like to get another as a gift off of BN.com. So if anyone has a 20% or 25% off code they would like to get rid of, please PM me. Thanks a lot everybody.

Anyone with a Discover Card notice that Barnes and Noble has been removed from the cash back listings on Shopdiscover? First AAA and now Discover.

Yep, noticed that tonight. Still, the Citi Forward card gives 5%, so I just used that.

And thanks Sweet Baby James!

They also removed the 5% discount coupon from the Visa web site that was similar to AAA.

New store coupons are available. Didn't see any online codes and assume they may issue some unique one use codes this week.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Got another 20% off in-store coupon texted from BN Buzz. YMMV of course if you don't have the text on your phone to show the cashier. I've used these codes 3 times so far, and twice they didn't ask to see it, but once they did. Code is supposedly valid for only 3 days, but likely will work longer. The new code is:
503411
You may notice a pattern here, since the last two in-store BN Buzz coupons were 503391 and 503401. So one can assume that the next coupon will be 503421. Too bad it isn't that easy to predict online coupon codes.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Looks like this week sucks for new coupons. Doesn't appear if there is any new store or online codes.

I did run across a Nook coupon that might be useful for anyone in the market for one.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I tried to return a membership to the store. The mgr said that any discounts I received with it would be applied against my refund. I looked at the agreement and it does say that the $25 will be refunded if you have not used it to obtain discounts. Because I had gotten discounts, i did not return it. I had a card once before and received a full refund. Does anyone know anything about this? Is this a new policy? Thanks

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Was this with a free membership trial? I would assume no if you were getting a refund. Yes, B&N changed the membership terms last year. I have copies of the older and newer agreements on the first page.

Here are copies of old and new terms regarding cancellation.

Membership agreement August 31, 2011
Cancellation; Termination

(a) You have the right to cancel your Membership at any time. If you cancel your Membership, you will only be entitled to a full refund of your Membership fee if you did not use your Membership to obtain an eligible discount or benefit, and you cancel your Membership during the first thirty (30) days of your Membership term (new or renewal). No refunds will be available after such thirty (30) day period (unless we terminate the Barnes & Noble Member Program in its entirety; see subsection below regarding program termination). Subject to the foregoing, you may cancel your Membership by: (i) calling Member Services at 1-866-238-READ (Members located outside of the U.S. should call 201-559-3886), (ii) contacting us via email at [email protected], or (iii) presenting your Member card at the Customer Service desk, for Memberships (new or renewed) purchased at Barnes & Noble Stores.

(b) We may terminate your Membership, including any associated accounts, without notice, for any reason in our sole discretion, including without limitation our belief that continued use of such Membership would violate any provisions of this Agreement, applicable law, or otherwise be harmful to our interests. In the event of any such termination, you will not be entitled to a refund of your Membership fee.

(c) We may terminate any or all of the benefits available under the Barnes & Noble Member Program at any time with or without notice. In the event of our termination of the Barnes & Noble Member Program, at our election, we will either maintain your Membership benefits until expiration of the Membership current term or refund each Member a pro rata portion of the Membership fee for the remaining portion of the current Membership term.
Membership agreement dated April 22, 2010
5. CANCELLATION; TERMINATION.
(a) You have the right to cancel your Membership at any time. If you cancel your Membership, you will only be entitled to a full refund of your Membership fee if you cancel during the first thirty (30) days of your initial or renewal Membership term. No refunds will be available after such thirty (30) day period (unless we terminate the Barnes & Noble Member Program in its entirety; see subsection below regarding program termination).

Within thirty (30) days of purchasing or renewing your Membership, you have a right to cancel by:

i. Calling Member Services at 866-238-READ (Members located outside of the U.S. should call 201-559-3886)
ii. Contacting us via email at [email protected].
iii. For Memberships (new or renewed) purchased at Barnes & Noble Stores, presenting your Member card at the Customer Service desk.

(b) We may terminate your Membership, including any associated accounts, without notice, for any reason in our sole discretion, including without limitation our belief that continued use of such Membership would violate any provisions of this Agreement, applicable law, or otherwise be harmful to our interests. In the event of any such termination, you will be entitled to a pro rata refund of your Membership fee.

(c) We may terminate any or all of the benefits available under the Barnes & Noble Member Program at any time with or without notice. In the event of our termination of the Barnes & Noble Member Program, at our election we will either maintain your Membership benefits until expiration of the Membership current term or refund each Member a pro rata portion of the Membership fee for the remaining portion of the current Membership term.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I guess too many people were getting memberships for deals like the Criterion sales and then cancelling them. They also stopped letting people use online coupons more than once. If they stop multiple use of in store coupons there will be little reason to be a member.
