Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

The Steve Coogan Collection is a really good deal. Normally $130, but it's 50% off right now. With the coupon that brings it down to $49. Knock off another 10% if you're a member and another $10 with the gift card.

Hi, were you able to do this? I have a $10 coupon from e****s, & couldn't apply it to an order where I'd already applied the 25% coupon.

Thanks.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I used pick up in store from B&N website to get 3 items which were only available at one store in my area. I requested they ring the orders up separately but they said I could only use the coupon for one of the items. I bought the three items on separate receipts. For the two items they wouldn't apply the coupon to, I went to another B&N store and did a return and repurchase with the coupon. Please note that the B&N store you return the item to must sell videos. When non video stores scan the DVD it comes up at regular price and not at 50% off . They then refuse to give you both the 50% off plus the coupon stating that coupon is not good on promo prices. At least that is what happened to me. I didn't want to try and exchange both items at the same store so I went to a near by B&N that did not sell videos and that is what happened. Anyway I went back to the first store and did the second exchange. It took a little doing but I got the prices I wanted to pay.

I haven't tried it yet, Barn, but I did try to use the promo code from bates for a purchase on Black Friday and it wouldn't go through. I contacted bates and told them it said the code was invalid. They took forever to respond, but finally sent a new code and said that most, if not all, of the B&N codes they sent out were in error. So I don't know whether the answer to your question is that it won't work with a coupon or if you might not have a valid bates gift code to use.

Yes they will order something for you for in store pick up. It is free. They usually offer to do that when they see they don't have something you asked for in stock. As far as using a coupon or getting the current sales price, I don't know as I have never used the service.

I just redeemed my SaveMore CG, and was told that I should expect it in 5-10 business days.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Another surprise coupon offer is coming later this week.

Surprise Savings Coupon Details:

This coupon can be redeemed only once per customer per billing address at any Barnes & Noble retail store or online at BN.com.

This coupon is valid from December 15, 2011 and expires in stores December 18, 2011 at close of business, or for orders placed online, at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time December 19, 2011, while supplies last.

This coupon entitles you to one of the following discounts: 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% or 50% off the one eligible item in your order. The discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other eligible discounts, including (if applicable) the standard Member discount, are applied.

To see which discount offer you qualify for, enter this coupon at checkout. No purchase is required. You may choose not to complete your transaction after seeing your discount and before paying.

Additional Rules Governing Use of this Coupon: This coupon is (i) not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents (including Gift Cards and online Gift Certificates); (ii) not valid on past purchases; (iii) not eligible for purchases of the following products and services: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, gift-wrapping, textbooks, video games, digital content (including but not limited to NOOK Books, magazines, and periodicals), NOOK(r) devices and their related accessories, other hardware and electronics, software, products available for pre-order, products from the Rosetta Stone Series, products available for in-store ship-to-home orders, or products marked as not eligible for "coupons or promotional discounts," (iv) not valid on purchases made from third parties accessible from the BN.com website (e.g., used books, PC and video games, etc.); (v) not valid at hp.bn.com (vi) not valid on applicable sales tax or shipping or handling expenses; (vii) may not be combined with any other coupon or promotional discount; and (viii) may not be combined with the Educator program discount. This coupon is not valid at Barnes & Noble College Bookstores or websites. Void where prohibited by law.

This offer is subject to change or discontinuation without notice; we will, however, honor properly placed orders with valid methods of payment with sufficient funds placed prior to such change or discontinuation. Barnes & Noble is not responsible for typographical or pictorial errors.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

If ever I needed a good break from one of these special discount coupons (a 50% one) it's now. I've never gotten any of them, but now that I'm finally receiving emails from B&N I'm hoping I get lucky and receive a 50% off coupon.

That link I posted several weeks ago help on the emails? That seemed to do the trick for several email addresses I no longer could get B&N email offers on.

So far the best I've been able to get are 15% coupons. I'm not going to get my hopes up too much for this round of surprise coupons.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I thought the voucher number they listed was the gift card number so I could use it online. I never clicked the Claim It button, until just now... How stupid. You shouldn't have to "claim it." We paid for it already, so just send it to us! In the meantime, I spent a lot of money during the British sale, when I really could have used the GC...

That's the one I'm talking about, Laser. It definitely helped me to start getting emails from B&N (for the first time ever even though I've been a member for years). Here's to hoping for a special large discount coupon. There's something I want but simply can't get without at least a 40% off coupon code.

I missed that link. Could you repost? I've been a member for a year, and I've yet to receive an email from them -- and I've checked all the appropriate boxes (that I could find) in my account settings.

Weird. I also didn't notice you had to "Claim" your GC before they sent it, so I just took care of that.
Also noticed under the "My Rewards" section I seem to have a $10 credit listed as part of some promotion. Does anyone know what this is or how to use it?

Glad it worked out for you finally with the emails. I don't know why but it has been almost a miracle to get a email address signed up to receive B&N offers.

Also goodluck on the coupon lottery. Hope you can get a 50% code.

Here it is. Just enter your email address and you should start seeing the emails within a few days. So far it has worked for every email address I have entered. Even was able to get my member account active again with B&N offers.

Unfortunately, it has yet to work with my e-mail address. I tried both the link (when you first posted it) and have complained to customer service on the phone a few times (weeks ago). No dice!

I'm pretty sure you can use it on the non-daily deals only.

Have you tried another email address? The coupons aren't account specific, so if you get the email on a different address, you can still use it with your normal B&N account.

I am tapped out after the British TV sale. I really need more self control. It's just much cheaper to buy a whole series set rather than the individual seasons but it does add up.

Surprise coupons are now up but no barcodes. You'll need those emails from B&N to get a valid coupon code.
