I want to pick up some Criterions that were released after the 50% off sale ended. I am sure I'll have enough Amazon points by July to pick up 12 Angry Men for free though, heh.

40% off and if I could use the $8 off $40 coupon would make them $13.59 before sales tax.

The "Buy 2, Get 1" free deal could be good if they throw in some awesome coupons.
According to my super awesome clerk the week of the 6th will be a 50% off all british TV and the 40% off all blu rays will be the week before xmas.

Great to know! I'll be canceling my pre-orders with Amazon on a couple Blus. With the extra 10% member discount, I doubt Amazon will be able to match B&N's net prices. If the 20% online coupons stack, this could work out very well.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Can anyone tell me if I do a return in store for an order that I used Paypal for on BN.com, will I get store credit or giftcard back? I had a bad experience with them again that I posted in Store Forum. Nobody there has answered about a refund for paypal order. I don't know if I only want store credit only good in store. Thanks for any response.

I returned something that was over the 14 day window and they gave me a gift card. It has a code on the back that can be used online- unlike the old, green store credit cards they used in the past.

Sabu - no, not from Criterion at least. They're releasing it as part of the Eclipse line which means they've determined there's not enough of a market for a primary release.

Thief of Baghdad - probably eventually. It's a popular film, relatively speaking. If Criterion doesn't release it on blu-ray, I'm sure someone in some region will.

As usual, thanks very much for the info.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Has anyone else had problems with B&N shipping delays?

I've placed around 15 orders this month (the majority before Black Friday week) and no fewer than seven have been delayed.

I have had to grant two 30 day extensions for items that they show are currently in stock and were shown as in stock when I placed the orders. Two orders I placed last Tuesday have yet to ship. A few others took around 5-7 business days to ship with no e-mail stating a reason or notifying me of a delay.

I've always had rather good luck with their processing speeds in the past but this is getting a bit tiresome.

"Excellent." /Mr. Burns

I might be able to get the Criterions I was hoping to get after all without waiting 7 months for the next 50% sale.

$8 off $40 coupons don't expire until January 2012 (if they take them).

I got 6 delay emails yesterday, but 4 of the 6 shipped this morning. As for granting extensions, I had to do it for Stardust, but that's it. I placed about a dozen orders with B&N since Black Friday...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I finally got one of my orders from the Criterion sale. I really don't get the deal with the packaging. Mine came in a brown envelope and they must have ran over it a couple of times. The Phantom Carriage and The Red Shoes had busted cases and one had a floater as well. Yi Yi seems to be in OK shape, but it's really ridiculous. If it's a cost-cutting measure, I'd rather pay the extra .50 for some packaging and to not have to go to my "local" B&N and exchange them.

Dare I say, I've had worse packaging from B&N lately than I ever had from DD(D).

Here is a new 30% I ran across but it lacks a barcode this time. I'm not sure who they are intended for but it's possible it could be another Borders coupon. Might want to keep a eye out for it in your email.

Never heard of SaveMore but it seems there is a lot of negative feedback on them. Even the Slickdeals thread has quite a few negative comments.

I did this too. Ordered two Tim Burton toys for $19.xx total, as per final checkout page. Then I get the order confirmation email showing a total of $23.xx. Apparently one of the promos shows as working when you check out, but then disappears from your actual order when you place it. Not the first time this glitchiness/shadiness has happened to me at bn.com. Since I didn't take a screenshot, I basically have no recourse except to return the items or be out $4. Pretty lame, but I'm not going to bother with their CS.

This did not happen to me, but my orders have not shipped yet. My order summary still shows the correct prices, so I just printed to PDF just in case that happens to me once they ship... Thanks for the warning!

I gambled and just did the Savemore deal: Your voucher will be ready 12/12, 12pm CST.
WOW, that's a long wait! My credit card should back me if they don't come through...

Goodluck! All the negatives I've seen on SaveMore I think I will sit it out. Not worth the potential problems.

Eh, a lot of the negatives seem to be from people not reading the details.

I went for the SaveMore B&N giftcard deal too, we'll see how it goes. I noticed that the other "daily deal" sites (Groupon, LivingSocial, etc) get mostly bad reviews online as well. I've had good experiences with them, hopefully this will be the same.

^ Speaking of which, I wish Groupon would do another $20 for $10 deal with B&N. I hit 'em hard during the last one.

That was epic. I bought 50+, used them all, then all but one got auto-refunded because of the 1-per-person limit. Ended up with $1000+ worth of books and blu-rays for $10.

^ Hmm, I'm thinking it may be awhile before they offer that deal again.
