Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

Does the Gifts store area exclude DVDs/BDs?

Is there any way to combine the promos?

34.99 is still too much for me.

If you can live without the swag, Target has an exclusive digibook of West Side Story for $14.99.

That didn't last long. It's already sold out for the West Side Story set.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

That is so inaccurate that if I didn't know better I'd think you were joking. B&N is selling a ton of Nooks.
1 B&N can sell a lot of Nook Tablets and that number can still be a small % of tablets sales

2 They can sell X number without most of the population unaware that they have a tablet.

Pasting a Wall St article that does not discuss what advertising they have done does little to refute my comment. Maybe if Ad Age etc has article on the massive Nook campaign that I seem to be missing other than the Nook kiosk practically blocking their front doors.... I would be convinced. I hope that they do well with it because no way I'm buying an Ipad and want to see some a few solid viable alternatives.

I tend to fast-forward through commercial thanks to my DVR, but even I have noticed the Nook commercial featuring a singing Jane Lynch. It seems to be in very high rotation. I think B&N has been fairly aggressive with their advertising for the Nook.

And where exactly can we find evidence to prove your claim that "99% of consumers have no clue that B&N has a tablet"?

Albert_M must be a supporter of "the tree fell in the forest but I wasn't there to hear it so it didn't make a sound". He hasn't see an ad so it doesn't exist. And if he didn't hear it no one else did either.
In addition to the current Jane Lynch ad, B&N has used social media, print media, and other TV commercials. A simple Google search is all that's needed to find the info.

I'm finished with this topic as he's clearly wrong and is afraid to admit it so he'll continue to argue the point even if it makes him look more foolish than if he had admitted he was wrong from the beginning.

LASERMOVIES there has been speculation that a 40% off all Blu-ray sale will happen between December 18 to December 24. Has there been confirmation of such a sale?

No, I haven't seen any indication of the sale online. However it appears there might be some sort of one day promotion this coming Monday. Looks like there was going to be a 30% and 25% coupon valid for one day on the 19th.

Your best bet is to find a non-BN store selling them and checking if they have a coupon that discounts them(unlikely) or if they have a promotion on gift cards where you get an extra amount. Staples had one a week or two ago where you got an extra $10 when you bought a $50 card. That's what we did when we picked up a Kindle Fire.

Yeah, considering if you do a search for articles on popular or hot tablets this holiday, you'll find nook and kindle in almost all of them. The argument is about as logical as if you claim that nobody knows the sky is blue because you don't see public service announcements for it on TV.

None of the regular coupons are valid for a Nook. However there are some Nook coupons and promotions out there from B&N. Not sure how you get them though since I never had one sent to my email address. Here are a sample of two coupon offers I found below. The store coupon is useless since there is no barcode. Also if you have a membership you can get a discount on one. Another option is to get a pre-owned Nook for less than new prices.

I stopped in on Monday to get one last thing before the BBC sale ended, and the register printed out a $20 off Nook Color coupon. The bookseller said he has only seen about three of them print out...and that he didn't know if it could be combined with the membership discount or if it was the same code as the membership discount.

By the way, what qualifies as a "gift item" for purposes of that coupon? Something from the "gift books" section? Something from the Godiva chocolates section? Anything that you're planning to give as a gift?

I ran across the coupon but not sure what you can actually get with it since I have not been to a B&N store recently.

Because they are doing little advertising to promote. Sorry social media doesn't quite cut it on the national scale needed to be a significant player. Ask people who don't hover on forums like this about tablets and see what they know. Of course YOU know plenty of people familiar with the Nook tablet I'm sure....

A simple Google search is all that's needed to find the info
Yep, you can find all kinds of info on a search engine. that's not same thing as a large advertising campaign with TV, Cable and even print ads.

It's just not.

No, you're wrong. His proof is "because I said so." I especially like how he decided to quote jwstl, but deliberately omitted jwstl's examples of the ad campaign.

I think it's clear that he's trolling us.

He also failed to quote me, and I mentioned the TV ad campaign right before jwstl.

What the hell is wrong with you? All I did was point out the obvious about the lack of investing in promotion of their tablet and because of that, general public awareness is lacking. You obviously do not "got it." You can't seem to grasp the obvious. I can't believe that this discussion even needs to go on as it does. I made my points based specifically on the lack of a serious tv and related campaign effort.

What gets pointed out to me? that they do in fact have a TV ad. So what? that doesn't mean they are buying a lot of tv, which they are not. I notice these things more because I buy media.

The trolling seems to be you two. I like B&N which is why I commented on this to begin with.

The problem is obviously with you. I linked to an article on Businesswire.com that discussed B&N's extensive advertising campaign that began in April, and proves you are completely wrong, but you conveniently skipped it or ignored it. Tell you what, I'll past a section of the article so you can't miss it:

"With airings starting this week, the TV campaign will be highly visible, featuring 30- and 60-second spots during regular episodes and season finales of top cable and network shows, including American Idol and other popular programming. The print campaign, which begins in early May, will run in high-circulation publications, and include both intimate portraits of readers, as well as product-centric ads that feature NOOK Color, its innovative features and accolades with the headline, “If you love reading, this is your tablet.”

That fact that you buy media means nothing. You obviously can't and don't keep up with the advertising for every business in the world and that's understandable. If you missed these ads that's ok. But what's not ok, is continuing to claim you are right when the facts prove otherwise.

You may think there is a lack of investment in promoting the Nook, but the Barnes & Noble CEO said the Nook campaign that launched Nov. 14 is the largest campaign in Barnes & Noble history.

http://www.dmnews.com/barnes-noble-c...rticle/216187/

As others have said before, just because *you* haven't seen these TV ads doesn't mean that the rest of us haven't seen them enough to be sick of them.

And here are a few articles from this month about how sales of the Nook are doing really well (sales up 85%), but that B&N is still taking a big hit because they are spending so much money on promotion. Simply put, when you say Barnes & Noble isn't putting money into promotion, you are wrong.
