Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Mine went out with Argix USPS. Tracking is not too good with them but they at least deliver within a reasonable amount of time compared to DHL. Since I ordered it so long ago and already paid I almost feel like I'm getting it free.

Both Argix and DHL strap their packages to the shell of a blind turtle and point the li'l guy in the general direction of your address.

Took me a while to find my order. Still shows Dec. 31, 2025 for me, and I placed my order on Jan. 28.

I saw a delivery turtle this afternoon making the rounds.

It should ship soon if it hasn't already. When I checked mine this morning it still had the 2025 shipping estimate, but within an hour after checking I received the shipping confirmation email.

Thanks, LASER. No one bothered to look at the fine print dates (and besides, it says Expires 9/18/11 in the upper-right corner), so I was able to use it several times last night while the 40% off sale was still on.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

My SW complete still hasn't shipped. I just spent an hour on hold, waiting for B&N.com to answer. First the girl said my order # didn't exist. Then she said it was for a different item. Then she said I'd have to call the store where I placed the order. And then she finally found the order, and actually told me that my item doesn't come out until December 31, 2025. I may have possibly spoken to the dumbest of the dumb B&N.com employees. I finally got her straightened out, and she's supposedly going to contact the warehouse for me, since it "MAY have been an error". Ugh.

I am in the same boat: ordered on 1/29, and still shows shipping date of 2025. I called CS and explained my situation. The rep typed out an e-mail and sent it to the warehouse. Said they'll get it Monday....maybe Tuesday.

To be honest, I'm not hopeful at this point, and fully expect the answer to come back as "oh, it's been cancelled". Why? Because that's the easy thing to say.

I was on the phone with the representative. She said "THE" warehouse that had received my order has not received the copy of Starwars yet. I asked whether I can switch the delivery option to store pick up, and she said that I can't. I just have to wait.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Does anyone know, from past experience, whether there's usually an "overlap period" when coupons set to expire Monday can be used to buy Tuesday's new releases? I'd love to use the Mastercard coupon on a few books coming out tomorrow.

EDIT: Never mind, it's already expired. I misread the expiration time earlier. It was a great coupon while it lasted; I used it to buy about 15 books.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

kenbenobi and BuckNaked2k, your stories are exactly what I was fearing regarding the Star Wars BD preorders at B&N. So what is the best phone number to call about this issue and is there a good time to not have to wait an hour on hold?

Has anyone who preordered Star Wars in late January gotten theirs or does everyone's order say 2025? Does calling the local store do any good?

This is actually my first ever B&N preorder and the only item I was ever able to "get" at B&N using a 50% off coupon. I was hoping these difficulties wouldn't occur, but I can't help not being surprised. If I don't get my order, not only will it be my first B&N purchase in many years, it will probably also be my last. They already charged me (and everyone else I assume) when I preordered in January. I hope I get my money back at least if they plan to wait another 14 years to ship it (in 2025 they'll say Blu-Ray is a discontinued format or oops we can't find your order any more in the system since it's so old so we can't refund your money).

I spoke with someone the other day from the store it was purchased from - I find this the easiest way if you ordered it in store. When I tried calling an 800 number I usually got a runaround - "You called the online ordering department, you need to speak with someone regarding in store purchases." So I now just call my store and they typically have this in their system (since it did come from that store).

Anyway, I followed up on Saturday and after being on hold for a few minutes, I was informed they are not sure why it had not shipped out, but it will be going out this week and I will have it by Wednesday. I'll follow up if when it arrives.

According to the receipt that came with the set, I placed my order on 4/2/11 (the 2nd occurrence of the 50%, or roulette, coupons). I received it today. Total price = $44.79.

I placed my order on 2/4/11 after Groupon had their $20 GC for $10 offer. Was worried about the 2025 release date, but it was shipped on Thursday, got an e-mail on Friday, and should get it tomorrow.

1. 800-962-6177 (try the number after dinner until they close...11PM, IIRC)

2. I don't believe they charged our credit cards yet, but I'm not 100% sure.

3. The ironic part is, if we'd waited to pre-order until the second batch of 50% off coupons came out in April, we'd have the items in hand now.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks for the info. Murmur suggested calling the store first, so I'll do that. If that doesn't work, then I'll call 1-800-962-6177 as BuckNaked2k suggested.

From my January 2011 order, B&N most definitely charged my credit card the full amount on my preorder. I was surprised, but I took it to mean if I didn't get a refund on my CC that I'd probably get the order.

It doesn't surprise me that the early orderers have the problems (since I was an early orderer). Of course to wait for a later deal would've been risky since you never know when there will be discounts. I've only used 1 50% off coupon and preordered 1 item ever at B&N, and this is it. Hopefully a simple phone call to the store will solve it. I'll report back later.

This is probably the funniest thing I've ever read on the dvdtalk forums in all my years of browsing here. I have no idea if you came up with that imagery on your own, but it doesn't matter, because it's still incredibly funny.

My copy of Star wars arrived today that I ordered back in January with a 50% coupon. Guess I was lucky since I didn't have any problems with shipping delays.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I called the local store near closing time, and I eventually got a nice manager who said she would cancel my existing "stuck" order and put in a new order for the complete Star Wars BD set at the same same price (without doing anything to my credit card) and I should get it in a few days (probably next week). Hopefully that will actually happen without any problems.

I found out if you preorder in store they charge your credit card in full at that time, but online preorders aren't charged until they ship. Did everyone have to do these 50% off Star Wars preorders in store or was it do-able online? If it's the latter, that would explain why some people say they weren't charged until it shipped.

Doesn't look like any store coupons but maybe some online coupons. Earlier in the week I saw there were a pair of 20% and 15% online coupons coming Sept 22 through Sept 26. Will keep my eye out for them.

I'm in the same boat. I placed my order on the 28th and my order has yet to ship and still shows the 2025 date. I called B&N CS and the nice woman said it shows an expected ship date of 9/21 which is today. She said expect to receive notice tonight or early in the morning. We shall see....

I know this was directed at jwstl a while ago but I've just about had it with Discover card and their cashback. This is only my second statement and they screwed me over again with B&N online purchases with the 15% cashback. I was due about $12 and only received 20 cents for B&N this last statement period. The last time I was shorted anywhere from $2 to $12 depending how I figured the purchases. Some of my purchases were a little complicated to even try to straighten it out with them, so I just didn't bother with it. This statement I kept it simple to see what would happen, and again it's incorrect. I'm just about ready to cancel the card.
