Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

Has anybody had success using one of the $8 coupons on a $39.99 Criterion title?

39.99 before or after the 50% off? I've never had issues using it on a set that's 39.99 after the 50% off (like the 3 Colors Trilogy) but I've never tried using it on an item that's less than $40 at full price. The coupons don't and shouldn't qualify for that and anyone who tries to use them for those titles makes it difficult for everyone else.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Had a coupon (my first during this sale) rejected for the first time ever last night. I tried to use the 20% off coupon (one that they mailed) on the Pasolini set, but it didn't scan and the cashier told me it wouldn't work because the set was already on sale.

Is it worth going back and trying to use the $8 off $40 new membership coupon - or will the system automatically reject me since I bought my membership in August?

(Or am I a bad person for even wondering if I can cheat the system...?)

My mailed coupon wouldn't scan earlier, she tried it a few times and then somehow got it to work and it worked. (Also on the Pasolini set.)

That said, the $8 coupon saves you like $.80 I think and should work so it might be worth trying that.

I've used the 20% coupon 5 or 6 times in the last few days. today with the new manager at my store I did a transaction with the 20%, 15%, and 5 off $50 coupons with no problem. 4 blus for $66 out the door. I went back later and used the 20% again with the same manager...
Which 20% did you use? When I tried to use the one listed here more than once, the computer disallowed it as a 'one per customer' deal only. The computer wouldn't let me.

My local clerk applied it to The Trilogy of Life, seemed like it applied due to the regular price being over $40, not the sale price. YMMV.

No problem. I always got a CC blu ray at $9.99 before tax.

Co-ask, I didn't see a 20% off on the first page of this thread. If this 20% for original price, then I can get $16 off for Trilogy of life?

I don't think I even want to think how you get an $80 item for $16, but 20% would usually be taken off after all the discounts. The price after the 50%MRSP and the 10% member - so basis for 20% coupon would be $35.99. Even if (heaven forbid) you are allowed to stack the 8off and 20%, that still leaves you around $22.50.

I had a hard enough time just using the 8off40 for this one and that should have been pretty easy though I knew it wouldn't be.
He didn't say he would get it for $16; he asked if he would get a $16 discount. And the answer to that is: of course not. Coupons are always taken off the selling price which means 20% off $40...unless you are a member then it's 20% off $36.

Okay I think I may have an idea what B&N has planned for this week with coupons. I think the 25% and 30% coupons are probably online coupons they will send out on November 21. Not sure if the coupons are going to be generic or unique codes yet. There is also going to be a 30% Black Friday store coupon coming out November 23 that is valid through November 25. On Monday November 26 looks like a one day 25% coupon for cyber Monday.

This is my most-anticipated deal of the week. If they release a generic 25% or 30% online coupon I will probably spend $500.

I do know the store coupon is going to be generic since I've seen it, but that is no guarantee the online coupons will be the same. Also doesn't look like there are any membership coupons with this group, and anyone should be able to use them with or without a membership.

I added the new 30% coupon to the list. Also have a online code to go with it that is now active. I should add no membership required for either coupon.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

That says member discount off first, is that the usual way?

I'm looking at the LoA box set which with this and member should be very close to $50, are there any other coupons that can be combined with the 30%?

Yes, usually at stores they will take off the 10% member discount before scanning the coupon.

It's a huge ymmv if you can combine the coupon. Maybe a store might let you stack it with one of the $5/$50 coupons.

It doesn't make a diff what is applied first. 0.9*0.7 = 0.7*0.9
