I was hoping for Rat Queens and/or Southern Bastards from the Image sale. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Those were just on sale a few weeks ago iirc. I'm sure they'll be back at least once a year.

You're lucky; I spent this month's budget in February.

I'm struggling with Sandman. One of my favorite series, perhaps the only one of similar length that I've read beginning to end more than twice. Love owning all the floppies but use the trades when I reread. Hard to see myself selling both singles and collections. I'm trying to switch most things to digital, but I plan to always have some physical books. Do I spend $75 just in case I someday get the nerve to go all-digital? Something that every fiber of my being says I'll never do? [/internal rant off]

Sandman is one of the things you'll always want a physical copy of.

If I were in your position, I'd probably keep the comic books over the TPBs. I have all of the comic books, the first edition hardcovers, AND the Absolute Editions and I don't think I'll ever part with any of them.

Plus, you know this is a series that will go on sale again. If you regret not buying it now, it will be on sale again in six months or a year.

Isn't this the first time it's been on sale?

I could have sworn it was earlier, but maybe I'm misremembering. Like maybe around when Sandman Overture started?

Maybe, but I don't own it yet, have been doing this daily thing for like three years I think, and normally would snatch it up with no hesitation.

Still might, but need to think about American Vampire and Ex Machina too. Anyone read those?

I've been waiting for at least a year and a half, if not 2 years, I think, for Sandman to go on sale, and this is a first.

Ex Machina is great, I enjoy what I've read of American Vampire (12 issues or so).

Ex Machina is really good but I've never read past the first 30-35 issues, so I can't say if the ending is satisfying or not.

I was bored and found the old Sandman sale. October 2013, I guess I was still resisting digital at that point.

Sad that the minis and specials aren't included this time.

This could be an expensive day/week for me. Today starts a weeklong Sandman sale from DC. All 76 regular issues, several mini-series, and a couple specials. I own pretty much all of them physically, but am still tempted.

Also today starts a three day sale from Marvel on all (?) the Marvel Zombies stuff. 31 issues total from various mini-series.

Please forgive the multi-thread cross post everyone, but we're doing a Christmas in July gift exchange here in Comic Book Talk and wanted to give everyone a chance to participate.

Everyone will be given a name, you'll PM each other addresses, and send a little mystery gift bag of comics or comic-related trinkets.

Don't reply in this thread, but please see the below thread for more details and to sign up.

It's odd that Comixology would run a promo code sale on a series that seems to have been abandoned digitally. There are at least 2 digitally unpublished issues that have long had print editions.
