Just to be clear, I was making a joke on your phrasing that my not wanting to buy them was dumb.

I won't be buying them. If two digital versions I want are at the same price (that price is never more than 99 cents), then I may choose the cover I like; but I'd never buy both on purpose.

I didn't realize the DC collections were priced so reasonably even at regular price; most of these average to about a buck an issue regular price, making the sale icing on the cake. I'm not sure I need to read Batman: Knightfall again, but for 15 bucks for all of it, I'm tempted (see, I have a problem too!)

If you're buying any DC and Marvel books, you can save 15% by buying iTunes gift cards at BedBath&Beyond and then purchasing your books through the DC and Marvel apps. BB&B deal is in-store only and last until 7/23/15 on $25+ iTunes cards. That extra 15% pushed me over the edge on a bunch of the SDCC sale collections. iTunes cards are always on sale somewhere, often at more than this 15% savings.

I noticed the $4.99 Marvel collections are the same price on Amazon. I used some Prime no-rush credits to get a book cheaper.

I read M3 last month for the reality challenge; I really liked the first arc and it's got a unique photorealistic art design. It's worth reading especially for the sale price but I found the later issues less entertaining.

Can anyone comment on the Jack of Fables and/or Fairest spin-off books? Are those 'essential' to the plot of the main series? Trying to decide if I want to go all out and break the bank or hold back. These DC sales are killing me.
