....It's a 4K master. It's not a putting out in 4K HD. It's still 1080p HD. It's just been worked on a higher resolution and then knocked down to 1080p. Meaning it should look a good amount better than the last BD of it, if there was one. I haven't followed up on that movie's format history.

I didn't really expect to buy this disc but it seems like a great price for a well-respected film and -according to reviews, -it has excellent picture quality and a lot of supplemental material (its a digibook sleeve, and there's a quite a few documentary features, though they're presented in 480i). I couldn't pass it up.

If you throw in Nikita Seasons 1-4 you can get them for $47.86 via PRIME. I would, but gotta check to see if they're on Netflix.

Just add them to your cart one at a time and you'll see the price total - 3 of them are from a 3rd market seller and the 4th is from amazon - all brand new sets.

EDIT - certain Criterion BD's are showing up at the $19.99 pricepoint, FYI.

Just noticed that Arrow season 3, Gotham season 1, The Flash season 1 and Supernatural season 10 are back down to $19.99

I've already seen all those seasons on TV and I've already spent enough money so far this Holiday season for myself and friends. I think I'm going to hold off longer.

Chucky collection is down to $24.99. Doesn't exactly scream Christmas but I think it's a new low price.

City Lights dropped in my cart so I went ahead and bought it. A few others I saw at that price included Dressed to Kill, The Killers, Make Way for Tomorrow, Moonrise Kingdom, Fisher King, etc.

Geez, in for that! Even with the crummy exchange right now, it's still ridiculously cheaper than up here.

Yeah, that's what has made me hold off on any major box sets (like Ken Burns at PBS). Holding pattern!

Thanks for the post. That made me decide to pull the trigger on a movie that just hit my price point I have been waiting on. Plus they sent me a code for a free HD digital copy of Kung-Fu Panda. Weird.

Those $2 credits expire February 15th while the $1 ones expire at the end(?) of March so be sure to use them...

It sure would be nice if they'd make it easy to see expiration dates on these after they've been awarded.

I agree. I usually have to contact customer service by chat to get the expiration date. I am sure several have expired on me before.

I've resorted to keeping a scrap piece of paper that I put a tic mark on every time I get one of those "you've received a promotional credit" emails, under the date MOST of them expire, but they change the date around, like this, so you have to read ALL the fine print.

Too bad the technology to just have a place online where we can see this information about which credits we have and when they will expire is years beyond the capability of Amazon, or the human race, at this point in history. I'll just keep scratching marks out like a caveman until that day...

I don't think it's in the best interest of corporations to remind consumers, especially when they'll have to re-purchase the movie again. And again. And again. :D
