It went quick.. way to save yourself the trouble. That's the one downside to LDs, you have to make plans around them (even if youre going to do them from your phone). My yesterday morning was screwy becuz of Aladdin and as it turns out, had I missed the deal, I would have gotten it for the sale price anyway.

But, as long as we're happy (and we get what we're after), that's what matters.

Snagged San Andreas and Southpaw today. I think between the two they lasted 6 seconds total.

As a DSL user with a typical 2.75 *down* connection who has few problems scoring LDs I'd say connection speed has little to do with it. It seems to have as much as, if not more, to do with how well your system processes JAVA script. The "Add to Cart" boxes appear faster on my laptop (newer, more RAM, and a better processor) than on my desktop but I used it only for a few items that went live while I was playing board games with the grandkids. Avoiding the new craptastic "Today's Deals" page is a major factor this year. That thing refreshes and updates very slowly. As for the "few" issues I've had, they've been mostly due to wanting two or more "widely desired" items that went live at the same time. Some of those went so fast I couldn't move the mouse and click fast enough.

Yeah, it could be a RAM and Java thing.. only Amazon knows for sure.

As far as two LDs at once, I was fortunate to not have to go through that. I couldn't imagine doing it on my pc, much less on my phone, which would not have been successful. Did anyone here score two BD LDs that started at the same time?

Was there anything good on Amazon? With their prime first thing they are doing and I browsed some of the items, seems like EVERY single thing they listed as up on Walmart/Best Buy/Target. I went into those stores at 9 PM and walked out by 11 PM and got everything I wanted. Was hoping to see The Gift for cheap, but didn't. But got Pitch Perfect 2, San Andreas, Jurassic World, South Paw, etc.

Some of the lightening deals are now the current selling price. Examples
Jurassic World - $9.99
Magic Mike XXL - $7.99
Entourage - $7.99
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - $5.99
22 Jump Street - $9

It doesn't bother me that the prices at Amazon were the same as in store. The point for me shopping at Amazon is avoiding having to go to the stores. Glad people who missed out on lightening deals were able to find what they wanted in store.

I noticed that this morning looking at some other titles. I dropped a copy of Jurassic World in my cart but can't decide as I'm not a huge fan of the original and would primarily be making the purchase to watch with my grandson (age 12) and to give my son the UV code (he's a huge fan of the original and was my grandson's age when it came out). It *would* make a fun double feature come Christmas when everyone is home...

That's pretty much my take on it as well. When Amazon didn't match the price I almost went to Hastings to pick up a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road BD/DVD/UV for ~$6 but it was raining and I figure I'll be able to snag that one for roughly that price in 6 months or so. I have such a huge backlog of stuff to watch that I can wait.

Everything else I wanted (and not just media product) I was able to get from Amazon or store sites for the same, or lower, price as the ads without having to battle crowds/parking/rain and everything'll be delivered free. I spent most of the day playing board games with the grandkids (while also watching for LDs using a laptop) while their mom was out all day battling crowds/parking/rain to get stuff. I even snagged a deal she wanted but couldn't find in the stores!

After having no luck on Friday, yesterday I was able to get San Andreas 3D and the two Orange is the New Black seasons all during the same time slot.

I had two windows open on Amazon at one point and noticed the countdown timers were a few seconds apart. This may mean that some users had a few seconds handicap.

Star Trek Into Darkness (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD) $4.99

Same for me. The nearest Target and Walmart are 70 miles round trip and the nearest Best Buy is 190 miles round trip. Amazon is convenient for those of us who are rural or who just don't want to spend the time or money to drive to a store.

This is a great set.

Is this the definitive complete set or is ESPN still making these films? I noticed that it didn't have the Christian Laettner film so maybe they are still making additional documentaries and there'll be a complete set down the road?

ESPN is still making them. I'm not sure there will ever be a definitive set.

I went to BB and Target yesterday and got most of the stuff I'd missed out on in the Lightning deals: Cinderella (no slipcover unfortunately), Skyfall, etc. I was going to skip San Andreas but it was $6, and why not spend $6 on Alexandra Daddario considering I'd just spent $5 on Keanu Reeves. I didn't get Inside Out, but I already own it so it would've been a random gift purchase. Mad Max was $9 at Target, which I figured was close enough.

The only one I never got was that damn Outlander. Target had a few copies of the DVD for the same price but I refused on principle. Maybe this'll be released in a complete-season set someday.
