Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Went by a store near me that stocks more media than the others. Jeeeesus, the # of DTV titles featuring the terribly photoshopped face of Bruce Willis ! This guy hurting for money ? No idea when all these were made but there were plenty to be had of BW crap in this store - all bilingual Canadian releases (VVS films) with pristine slips. John Cusack and Travolta are two others whose crappy DTV titles were among the restock. $2 for each after coupon was way too expesnive, left the store with none.

Even though half of my local store's display was inaccessible (due to the sheer amount of Seasonal Displays), I picked up a copy of Triple Threat (2019) for $5.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
After being away from home for the holiday, I stopped by my local store today and found there were many new things added to the media display. Some of these may be repeat titles, but I just know they weren't at this particular store 7-10 days ago.
Everything below was $5, I believe:
All the Money in the World (I know the DVD has been there for a while, but this time the BD was available)
Bad Moms
Creed
Den of Thieves
Fun Mom Dinner
Geostorm
Happytime Murders
Home Again
Lego Movie, the Second Part (with lego figure included)
MI: Ghost Protocol (steelbook)
Mother's Day (the Aniston film)
Rampage
San Andreas
Second Act
Sully

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
So MI: Ghost Protocol (steelbook) is certainly worth the $5 price. Unfortunately for me most of the $5 BR offerings at Big Lots are not worth $5 anymore. I'm trying to limit my buying to 4K titles with a few exceptional BRs thrown in.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Big Lots would be better off pricing most of their $5 stock at $3. That was a fair price when they first started carrying BDs but Dollar Tree has spoiled that level with waves after waves of $1 discs.

I suspect they're basing their pricing on the wholesale.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
I picked up Star Trek steelbook ($5 )the other day. Completes my Big Lots new Star Trek collection as I already had Star Trek Beyond and Into Darkness on Bluray 3D from Big Lots. I saw MI: Ghost Protocol steelbook, and was tempted, but I already owned it on Bluray.

It was sent to a non phone email account. And they claimed they couldn't pull it up on either of my BL rewards accounts (she did try). If I had known I was going to BL, I could have forwarded it to the phone; but stopping there was really a random occurrence.

Noticed a few new $5 titles this week:
24 Hours to Live
Beirut
Escobar Paradise Lost
I, Tonya
The Parts You Lose
Vehicle 19
Also, logged into my account yesterday and there's a 20% off coupon to expire 1/2. I don't recall seeing an e-mail about it which was a little strange.

This looks like the last one which means you have to print the actual coupon; it likely won't automatically come up with your card.

The last one they wouldn't take from me as I didn't have the coupon with me in print or on my phone. The email I use for BL is not linked to my phone.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Picked up Lara Croft Tomb Raider (BD) and Jack Ryan:Shadow Recruit (BD) (with slip cover) today for $2.50 each. The store had an entire side of the display dedicated to price reductions. Only a few rows on the top shelf were BDs and the rest DVDs. I think a number of the DVDs were $1.25. I had forgotten to bring my glasses into the store so I didn't look through all the titles. I used a 20% coupon and two $5 off $15 coupons so I bought $26 worth of stuff for $12 out the door. I have not been buying much media lately so I use my coupons to stock up on nuts and coffee usually.
Edit: Was back today and realized the BDs I had purchased were $2.50 each and not $2. I looked through some DVDs and it almost seemed like quite a few were marked up with new $5 labels and reduced to $2,50. I had thought almost all their DVDs were $3. Spotted Season 12 of NCIS BD for $4 as well as several seasons of Dexter on DVD for $4. I'm sure price reductions are a huge YMMV.

That damn Zoolander steelbook keeps faking me out every time I go to Big Lots. I keep thinking it’s Karate Kid!

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Took my granddaughter yesterday - her mom gave her the 20$ off coupon and she had a burning "need" to look at the toys and lip gloss stuff. She made quite a haul, getting 5 of the lip gloss/chapstick boxed sets of stuff for $2 each.
I stumbled across a single copy of Freaks (2014) for $5 ($4 after use of my 20% off) and they had several copies of the WM "exclusive" release of the board game Marvel United with a "Venom" playable character in place of "Wasp" in the regular edition. That was $16 post coupon and kind of worth it for the extra playable character. That was a surprise find as WM still sells this for ~$28.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
I grabbed a few things with the coupon yesterday. They literally had 1 clearance film. Nothing really exciting. Lots of Star Trek (I grabbed 5 & 6 on DVD). More than usual, I did notice some of the same item with differing prices.
Blu's bought were Fatal Attraction & I Tonya; + 3 DVD's (the clearance one was Untouchables S1 Part 1 for $1.00)

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
My local store got some new stuff today. I could tell it at a glance because it appeared as if some discs were stuffed into existing spaces in the cardboard waterfall display. Most of what appeared I had seen before such as many PV copies of Captain Marvel and the like for $7. I noticed a single copy of The Lego Movie: The Second Part again and a steelbook of Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol.
My significant score buried in amongst the BDs: a 4K/BD of VFW for $3.
