I picked up the Scorpion King 5-movie Blu-ray collection. I also saw Second Act on Blu-ray for $5, a Jennifer Lopez movie.

Here in St Louis, picked up the 'deluxe' edition of Singing in the Rain. $10 with my $10 off $20 purchase coupon.

Other than the Wizard Of Oz blu DE, I haven't seen any of the new stuff that's been mentioned. Caveat: I live in a very low income area; we don't get the cream of the crop items.

It recently came out on 4K UHD, which is why it's being dumped at Big Lots.

I haven't got any coupons lately.

Big Lots seems to be making more changes to the Rewards program. They started issuing the $5 off $15 coupons only every two weeks. Most recently they have been sending me a 20% off coupon instead with the same two week frequency.

I've gotten a couple 20% off, but mine usually expire before I get to them!

One of the stores closest to me had a new cardboard display near the front entrance. The only thing I found of interest to me was Accident Man for $3.

I also browsed through the regular 4-sided metal rack and found a lone copy of Stan Lee's Lucky Man (Season 1) on DVD. It was also priced at $3.

I may drop in tomorrow. Last time, I couldn't find ANYTHING to use the 20% off on at all.

I highly recommend Lucky Man if you should be lucky enough to find it.

I was in the local BL yesterday to pick up an online order - didn't notice anything new in the racks but I also didn't look that closely or go through the store. What I could see from the checkout line just looked somewhat sparse like before Christmas.

Thx for the post! Sounds like same sort of titles from BL Black Fridays in the past, but at MUCH higher prices. INFLATION SUCKS.

FYI: I tried to "like" your post, but the board wouldn't accept it.

I went in today to correct a order pickup issue and saw every one of those titles. And that's a first as there are usually a few in such lists that don't show up here.

I picked up a few TVonDVD sets - American Dad V6, the two Magnificent Seven seasons, and the Carol Burnett set.

That Carol Burnett set is the Time-Life "This Time Together" 7 disc edition (normally it's 6 but that one's a "LE" with a 7th bonus disc). Fans of The Carol Burnett Show who don't have this set should seek it out. It's a bargain at $8 having *19* complete and uncut episodes from the series.

Those interested in the TNG seasons - S2 is the older "digipak" edition, S4-S6 is a megapak, and S7 is the newer "repackage" version in a standard thick case.

I also saw a Resident Evil Complete Collection (6 films) on DVD at $7.99.

I didn't have time to look over each of the sets carefully, but the Carol Burnett one was interesting to me. The downside is I've picked up a few single discs which looked similar from Dollar Tree over the last few months. Each has 3-4 episodes, if I recall. I have to believe this collection has some of the same ones I've already bought, which makes me hesitatnt . Maybe the bonus disc is enough to persuade me to get it.

Regardless, I'll be a little surprised if many of these are bought at the current price. I'm probably content with waiting for an inevitable markdown or more likely when I have a coupon (and maybe an overlapping 20% sale).

If the disc(s) you've purchased have *the exact same name* as this set then you *may* see some duplication. Usually there's only 1 or 2 such single releases for each multi-disc set TL released and a few having the same name as a bigger set do *not* have duplicate episodes. The way TL did those releases is a complete mess. Even then, the amount of episodes, even if you have 50% duplication, is absolutely worth the price.

I picked up those titles I listed as they were the only copies I saw and didn't want to chance not being able to get them. I had a "bounce back" coupon I used - but had a huge amount of stuff (took my wife and she picked up lots of 50% off Christmas stuff) so it took maybe fifty cents each off those titles. I'm still happy with the prices though so there's that.

The 3 single discs I've picked up are all labeled "Carol's Favorites", I believe. Found them at either Dollar Tree or the Half Price Books store on clearance (fairly certain at $1).

Here's the notes I've made:

One More Time - Episodes #s: 909, 911, 923
This Time Together - Episode #s: 612, 914, 824
Together Again - Episode #s: 705, 712, 1115

Based on the episode list you posted, your single disc "This Time Together" is the same as disc 1 on the larger set at BL. None of the other episodes listed appear on that larger set. That means you'll get 6 discs of new episodes and some nice bonus stuff.
