Does Fry's accept manufacturer coupons?

It was in the Alvin 2 happy meal toys. I don't have it in front of me, but IIRC it was $3 off and valid until the end of the year.

Re: Target Weekly AD [3/21 - 3/27]

Knew i saw a thread somewhere that listed the Toy Storysd at 19.99 . Saw the thread at slickdeals saying they were going to be 27.99 and couldnt believe it. I guess 22.99 isnt too bad, that is only 12.99 each after coupons.

Re: Target Weekly AD [3/21 - 3/27]

A possibly stupid question, as I rarely venture into retail stores: The automatic $10 discount for buying both TS films is valid through 3/27, and not just on Tuesday? I ask because I won't be able to get to a Target until the weekend. 3/27 is a Saturday, so will I be unable to get the $10 discount on Sunday the 28th?

Good luck on any multiple Manufacturer coupons at TRU. They {{the computer system}} wouldn't scan 2 coupons for 1 item. I am referencing the $10 and $5 for Princess & the Frog.

Good luck doing that anywhere--no one takes more than one manufacturer's coupon for the same item. It's always written on the coupon as well. Otherwise you could get everything free by using enough coupons.

Hell, if this is anything like the Up & Monsters Inc. Blu Ray release Disney for whatever reason (to build hype/demand?) might actually ship less quantities of either Toy Story 1 or 2. I remember most if not all Targets in Southern California were sold out of Monsters Inc. on the day of release because Target had the best possible coupon stacking value. So, I wouldn't chance it waiting for the weekend.

We'll find out on Tuesday.

Re: Target Weekly AD [3/21 - 3/27]

People buy these at this price just to resell. It might be tough to find this whole week.

As for the limits of the coupon printer. My inkjet allows me to reprint the last page over and over. I could print out 100 of either coupon with this feature.

It was more because Target didn't anticipate how many copies of Monsters Inc. they'd need and thus most stores got plenty of Up but only a small number of Monsters. Ironically I went to a Target that had Monsters but was out of Up.

The Toy Story movies should be a more even distribution as they're both catalog releases from the same franchise. But I'd still do my best to get there Tuesday.

Plus there is a big push for Toy Story 3, so I doubt we'll see Monsters, Inc. style shortages.

Re: Target Weekly AD [3/21 - 3/27]

Weekly comparison tables complete. Below just to have it all in one place.

Don't forget that there are many coupons for the Toy Story releases. Here are threads about the $5 coupons, the $10 coupons, and the $8 coupons. Also pre-order them at TRU for $15 (now $20) off any other Disney title, and TRU will likely be the best place to buy them anyway.

Direct link to $5 coupons

Direct link to $10 coupon site, enter UPCs 786936294507 for TS1 and 786936294521 for TS2

Direct link to site to mail away for $8 coupons

Also, here is the thread about the $3, $5, $10, and $16 Redplum coupons for Twilight: New Moon, Astroboy, Bandslam, and Twilight in the Forks, and the direct link to the site.

Each coupon is unique and specially numbered with that dot-scan barcode underneath the expiration date in the upper right hand corner....while you would be printing the "same" coupon over and over again, it would technically no longer be a valid coupon once the first copy with that unique identifier has been redeemed....

While the UPC barcode on these coupons are all the same (which is the part the retailer scans at the register to get the $5/$10 amount deducted), the coupon also has instructions for the store to go online and authenticate the coupon at www.veri-fi.com....your second, third, etc. copies would no longer be valid after the first one is used, though chances are probably greater than one in 1000 that any store actually takes the time to check the coupon's validity before accepting it....

The other thing is that the unique identifier code is probably not going to be invalidated or listed as redeemed, until the store actually mails it in to the coupon issuer for redemption.

Most likely the unique codes are more practical to prevent coupon fraud by stores. For example, with traditional coupons, it's quite obvious if the store is submitting legitimate coupons for redemption, cause they're glossy circular cut-outs or whatever. And while a store could get multiple original coupons from newspapers that customers never actually used, it's not practical for them to do so. With e-coupons though, since they're self-printing, there's no way to tell what's a legitimate one and what's a copy. So with the unique codes, at least the stores can't make 100 copies and send them in for redemption.

I'm taking the Fry's ad with me Tuesday morning and hopefully there won't be a problem price matching.

Hopefully you won't have a problem but be prepared to hear no due to the "exclusive" game they included with it as a reason they will not pricematch it. Many people had the same issue with Up and the journal that came with as a reason of why a Target would not pricematch. Good luck though.

I've thought about that. It is possible, and it would only be $6. No big deal, but I usually go first thing on the way to work around opening time and they generally don't have the sharpest knives in the block on the managing staff at that time. I've got a better chance then than later in the day. Couldn't hurt to try.

Where in the Target ad does it mention getting a $5 giftcard for buying Twilight?

You get $5 gift card when you buy Twilight in Forks documentary and any version of New Moon. It was actually in last week's ad, as NM came out on Saturday:

Target Ad

Re: Target Weekly AD [3/21 - 3/27]

Anyone else thinking about trying to price-match with the Toys "R" Us ad? Their ad says buy both, get them for $16.99. It prints the actual price, not just a "save $10" deal, even though it's technically the same deal Target is offering. But if you can get the Target clerk to adjust to $16.99 each, I would expect their computer to go ahead and deduct Target's additional $10 anyway. Usually on the receipts it's shown as something like -$5.00, rather than a pre-programmed, fixed $17.99 price. Then with both $10 coupons you'd get the movies for $1.99 each (due to the TRU price match taking an additional $6 off each movie). I printed out as many multiple coupons as I could to try this at a couple Targets if it doesn't work the first time. I hope to find the younger, female, more trusting cashiers. I don't really want to walk away from buying them the first time in case the quantities are low, especially the exclusive game version. And TRU was not an option for me because I "must have" the exclusive. I just know SOMEONE is going to get this $1.99 deal to work tomorrow...
