Except now we know that Sony wasn't telling the truth and those big PS5 Exclusives will be on PS4 as well. :/

The Demon's Souls remake is just on the PS5, right?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Spider-Man is PS4/PS5
Sackboy is PS4/PS5 also
Demon's Souls (yes, a remake of an 11 year old game...) is PS5 exclusive.
That free Astro's Playroom game is PS5 exclusive.
That Destruction game is PS5 exclusive.

What else was there? I'm not saying Xbox is in ANY better shape on that aspect, because at least PS5 has something exclusive to it, but... oof. So much for "we believe in generations"

I'm 100% down for Demon's Souls, though. That's probably what I'll play first (if I'm ever able to order a damn console)

Pretty sure there is no optical out.

Exactly. It just makes them look bad for saying one thing, and then quietly doing the opposite.

Doesn't matter to me, will get both and get the games I want.

It better be 100% BC for PS4 games... at least the ones I own and will play
100% of games being backwards compatible has never happened that's why they're saying 99%. Their is always a handful of games with some sort of issues or peripherals that aren't supported.

No, I get that, but they are saying 99% of the games that they tested... with no indication of how many games they have tested so far. And then that they believe the overwhelming majority will be BC.

Exactly. It's a CYA stance. There are over 4,000 PS4 games. There's no way Sony is testing them all. If they said 100% BC then there would be that one asshole that finds the one game (that no one even plays) and sues them for misleading customers.

And that has nothing to do with what was said in the article.

edit: and nothing wrong with Sony saying "99% of PS4 games should work." If there's any that don't, they will very obviously hear about it from fans.

It seems to matter to you.

And to be fair, they never said that Miles Morales was coming exclusively to the PS5. You, me, and everybody else assumed it was exclusively a PS5 title, but they never said that. Just that it was coming to the PS5. So not the same as saying one thing and quietly doing the opposite.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

It only matters to me in the point that some people used this as a reason why someone should get the PS5 over the XSX or even staying on the PS4 for awhile.

When your wife asks you if you can play the # game on PS4 and you say no, because Sony only said PS5... well... now it looks like you lied to your wife...

But luckily I also told her that the biggest reason was for the increased performance (and graphics) for PS4 games that are still in my backlog.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Funny story... I told my wife both consoles were announced with prices and release dates. She asked, "How much?"

"$500"

"Oh, that's reasonable!"

"I know! I'm ordering both."

"Cool. Wait, that adds up to--"

"TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!"
