Does anyone who got an Amazon Preorder in see a delivery date? I just see Delivery date pending on my order confirmation.

Basically, they can fulfill it whenever or cancel it.

I've had both orders fulfilled and canceled when they are marked as Delivery Date Pending. Closer to release date, the order should update with the estimated delivery date (if its going to be fulfilled).

Speak of the devil. Here's something I ordered a month ago, originally marked Delivery Date Pending and canceled today.

I would think something as big as this, Amazon would have enough for the day one orders unless inventory is really scarce for some reason (and even then they better not take any more preorders). What worries me is that a lot of us got in when the listing wasn't even officially up, so I'm hoping there's no shenanigans with that.

It doesn't make much sense to me for them to limit who can buy through them and not just have that exact number available. If lots of people don't show up, just do a second round with the emails they have, it's not like they're going to be stuck with them or anything. (and I say this as someone who wasn't picked)

There's a group that makes a script specifically for online purchasing release products (it's big in the sneaker world too). They openly admitted that people used their script to get anywhere from 10-40+ of the 3080 gpu yesterday from Nvidia. I'm sure the same folks are doing the same here as much as they can to resell.

If we're talking the Sony one, I think you had to get an email and that was tied to your PSN id, so scripts shouldn't be an issue unless they somehow got granted a lot of slots.

But yeah, the sneaker bots are frustrating and I'm surprised the big sites haven't taken care of that already. Maybe they don't care that much because inventory moves either way.

Well what do you know?--It actually worked. 45 minutes total. At one point it went from 10 minutes back to 18. Then the auto-direct almost failed, got an error message, and then it just loaded. One disc version, one controller, address, payment, and place order. Gotta say I'm shocked. No email confirmation as of yet, and card will not be charged until close to shipping. Still, seems promising!

I have no clue. When I got the "page cannot load" error message from the autodirect I thought it was all over. I had signed into my PS account on another tab and it never asked me to sign in during the order. No order number and no reassuring email confirmation, so who knows. Are you staying in the queue?

On the other hand, I'm hoping that my not getting in on this provides someone else with a launch unit they wouldn't have otherwise gotten.

What's hilarious is that none of these eBay pre-orders are really guaranteed. I would imagine even those B&M pre-orders could eventually be allocated based on the demand.

So far, so good with the first Pre-Order at least....

I wonder how many of these reserved orders are people who ordered more than one not because they're going to resell them, but because they're worried one or the other will fall through?
