I guess Ragnarok was the biggest one this year and it just came out, but since I haven’t been keeping up with PS news, so didn’t know.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

There are PS5 exclusives coming in 2023 that do not involve VR2 if that is what you were asking. It's still not clear to me which you were asking about : PS5 exclusives or PS VR2?

PS5. I’m only interested in new PS5 exclusives. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. Which ones?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Spider-Man 2 is coming next year from Insomniac. A Wolverine game is also coming, but maybe not until 2025.
Two Final Fantasy games are coming (third party exclusives, maybe timed exclusives(?) ) The next part of Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Final Fantaxy XVI.
Also Stellar Blade, which used to be called Project Eve

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I signed up for the PS Plus Extra during Black Friday for $74.99 with the discount. It's going to allow me to play more PS4 games in that library than I have time to play. I downloaded a couple and they went directly to my external drive that I set it to do.

I just wanted to try this for 1 year with the discount and see how I like it as opposed to the usual 3 games per month basic plan.

Sony is keeping their cards unusually close to their chest. While we do know some games that are on the way, as Decker pointed out, there isn’t a single first-party game with a release date (outside of VR, anyway) right now, and Sony hasn’t had a major showcase at all this year.

So if you’re wondering if you’re missing something, the answer is more or less “not really”.

To add to Decker’s list, though, there’s also the multiplayer-oriented Last of Us game.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

If anything, watch the Video Game Awards starting Thursday.....they have said 'Over 50 games will be shown" this year....there's a lot that snips here and there have leaked but nothing solid or extensive footage. The Awards is where big reveals, release dates and new footage comes out and there's a lot of anticipation on both P5 and XBox Series X side which I will watch Bethesda Showcase as I think thy hold the cards for Microsoft's Show. They have Starfield coming, was announce a large team has been working on a IP for 4yrs, been really quite with Fallout and Doom and they have Redfall almost ready and of course...Elder Scrolls 6 in the wings. But The Bomb that could drip is a announce Ghost of Tsushima 2 which almost nothing in a year on...we shall see...

There are rumors of a Metal Gear Solid remake supposedly coming soon.

So I got the invitation just now with the unique link to shop with, but when I click the link, it's showing sold out of both the VR2 standalone and the VR2 bundle. But the email says the link is good until Feb 22nd so I guess I can keep checking back.

Are you logged in? I’m seeing people on another gaming forum I read say that it shows as sold out for them, but the status changes after they log in.

oofa, yeah, that did the trick, thanks. I was actually kind of glad it was showing out of stock since I've been a big spender this month, now I have to decide to pull the trigger now or wait a couple days for the next billing cycle on my credit card.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I kind of want to wait until it's available to pre-order at Game Stop. I have a ton of credit there and what else am I going to use it on?

"We will not charge your credit card until shortly before your item(s) ships." That helps me make the decision to buy now easier.

^ But they will probably but a hold on your card. Might be an issue if you have a lower limit on the card.

That card has a $47500 limit, so no problem there. Other than the $20k I put in my 401k each year, I'm not a great saver, so I just need a little self control in spreading out my spending.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I got the invite as well. I don't know. I want the PSVR2 a lot, but with so much Gamestop credit saved just for it, it seems like a waste to not use it.

Same... and I was really hoping to see a pre-order from them before I pulled the trigger with Sony. I guess I'll just use my credit for VR games.

there is a cancel order button on the order details page, so still an opportunity later to grab it from Gamestop if it shows up there before the end of February.
