Pretty good updated write-up about Haven and Jade here......not exactlly a tiny indie anymore with about 105 employees.... Jade Raymond's Haven Studio is already inspiring other PlayStation studios - and not just with its game | GamesIndustry.biz

Wow, the Spider-Man remastered code that was in my used copy of Spider-Man Miles Morales that I bought the other day was still unclaimed. I just redeemed it. Ended up getting 2 games now for $17.99 + tax.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Sony is launching PlayStation Stars, a loyalty program that's kinda like their equivalent to Microsoft Rewards.
The "digital collectibles" have been confirmed to not be NFTs.
Throughout our company’s 27-year history, we have been continually moved by how meaningful gaming experiences can create fond, lifelong memories for players. All of us at PlayStation take special joy in creating unique products and experiences that delight our fans. This includes everything from our consoles and critically acclaimed games, to community challenges such as Seize the Throne and Treat Codes, to digital and live events including State of Play.
Today, I’m pleased to reveal PlayStation Stars, a brand new loyalty program that celebrates you, the player, for being on this ever growing gaming journey with us. PlayStation Stars will be free to join when it launches later this year. Once you become a member, you’ll earn rewards by completing a variety of campaigns and activities. Our “Monthly Check-In” campaign simply requires you to play any game to receive a reward, while other campaigns require you to win tournaments, earn specific trophies, or even be the first player to platinum a blockbuster title in your local time zone.
All PlayStation Stars members will have opportunities to earn loyalty points. Points can be redeemed in a catalog that may include PSN wallet funds and select PlayStation Store products. As an additional benefit, PlayStation Plus members enrolled in PlayStation Stars automatically earn points for purchases on PlayStation Store.
Also, as part of PlayStation Stars, we are unveiling a new type of reward called “digital collectibles.” Collectibles are as diverse as our portfolio of products and franchises. They are digital representations of things that PlayStation fans enjoy, including figurines of beloved and iconic characters from games and other forms of entertainment, as well as cherished devices that tap into Sony’s history of innovation. There will always be a new collectible to earn, an ultra rare collectible to strive for, or something surprising to collect just for fun.
We hope this new program brings to mind past gaming memories while making you excited for the future with PlayStation: commemorating the gaming eras we created together, charting new paths to explore, and bringing players together for global celebrations. This is just the beginning for PlayStation Stars, and the program will continue to evolve over time. We’re currently doing some early tests on this program before launching it later this year in phased regional rollouts.
We hope you’ll enjoy the program once it launches. We’ll be back with more updates in the future. Thanks for reading!

I wouldn't mind seeing some rewards based on trophies, although if they are timed or based on community/online based, then I'll never get anything. I feel they should have implemented something like this years ago, but better late then never.

Now that I've had my PS5 for almost 3 weeks now, I don't want to go back to the PS4 I love how fast it is and the new interface is so much nicer than the PS4.

Yep...that custom made SSD makes all the difference...not to mention the visuals. I'm not even seeing True 4K....using a ASUA 32" Gaming Monitor at 2160 but up to 160Hz....and it's night & day. I can even see the difference with the PS4 Games vs the PS5 Version. FWIW, there's been some really dood deals over at Amazon on the internal NVMe SSD. I put a Corsair one in awhile back....easy, simple and worth it....Congrads on PS5

I like the files on the PS4 much better, at least the way I had organized mine.
And almost everything on the PS5's interface feels like an advertisement or something.

Reminder that if you haven't redeemed it already, the Apple+ 6 month subscription offer with your PS5 expires on 7/22. Unlike the PS4 offer, this is not for new accounts only (so if you haven't redeemed the PS4 offer and have never had apple+, do that first).

You can request an invitation from Amazon to buy one, and there are the PS Direct queues, which are sometimes public. Not sure off the top of my head how to be invited to those when they’re not public.

Yeah, I saw the invite on Amazon. I’m not following anyone or keeping close tabs on anything. I was just wondering if the availability is finally not impossible, but it seems like it still is for the most part.

And I miss Dynamic Themes. I famously loved those.

I missed posting it in here but those amazon prime day (and surrounding sites) deals for the M.2 SSDs were pretty good. By Black Friday those should be even more affordable.

I think on Amazon you have to sign up for an invitation to buy one. They send you a link and you have 72 hours to buy when it's your turn. I finally received one last week, but I was able to get one a month ago directly from PlayStation.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
Got the following e-mail a couple of days ago:
I've had a couple of other invites from Sony Direct since the beginning of the year, but both start times conflicted with my work schedule (and by the time I could log in it was too late). This week should be perfect though, since I'm off from work and not currently traveling. Those two previous times I don't remember getting a "heads up" e-mail like this one. It would be very deflating to not get another chance after Sony gets my hopes up

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
I got my invite ... for 2 pm EST Thursday July 21!
Any special tips besides follow the instructions and hope for luck? It says clicking on the "Access event" button early may lock me out of the system, although I'm reading others clicked on it early with no negative consequences. Not sure if I want to take the risk. From what I understand shipping will be free if an accessory or game is added to the order, so I put a charging station in my cart. I never ordered from Sony Direct before, so it doesn't have my credit card information stored. Though it sounds like being able to add the PS5 to your cart from the virtual queue is the big hurdle ... and the few seconds it takes to enter the credit card info while checking out won't matter.

Why not add your CC info now?
If you have a friend that wants one you can actually get 2 PS5s (or you used to be able to). One disc version and one digital version count as separate items. That's how I got mine.
