If anyone’s willing to buy a bundle to get one, Newegg has a lottery open for another hour and a half.

They almost have my interest, but adding a second controller and three games already push me to the limit of what I’d be willing to buy. Requiring the new camera or a last-gen game I already beat is enough for me to say no thanks.

^ That's insane. With the new upcoming VR system, you won't need a camera at all. Keep hunting and you'll be able to get one soon -- I think.

There was a supposed GameStop drop today but the person on twitter (Wario64) retracted it.
We've finally decided to go ahead since we're thinking we can sell our PS4 Pro right away and get a little money for that to offset the cost, plus I wanted to get a 4K disc player for the living room and my would rather have a multi-purpose device.

No Dolby Vision on the PS5 UHD player is quite the drawback. Get a good stand-alone player.

I am TOTALLY with you. Just got mine today and man it looks 10,000x better. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but when all my other components are black this white stood out horribly (and I hated it). Feels like I just got a new console (also got the matte black center sticker thing--highly recommended). Was worth every penny, & I can't imagine why Sony is leaving so much $$ on the table but oh well. Thanks, darkplates!

I didn't get the center sticker. I don't care if that part looks different. I just wanted it to look similar to all my other components.

That's a great list! I'm especially glad to see Wreckfest, since that'll save me the cost of upgrading the Xbox One version. (I'm assuming the Xbox Series X upgrade won't be on GamePass, anyway, since they're charging for it.)

Oh well maybe then, I couldn't find the upgrade on the Xbox store, so I googled and found the article I posted.
Full version on PS5, will need to see how much they charge for the upgrade on X.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
So this is irritating. I went to download avengers game on the PS5. Needed 20 gigs so I deleted a game so the game would fit (84 gigs). Said not enough space. I then deleted 2 more games and it kept giving me a download error (lack of space). Finally I go into the game menu and it there is a “re download” option and that worked. How dumb that it just wouldn’t start downloading once I cleared the space. Deleted 2 extra games that could have stayed on there. Sony needs to figure this external HDD out soon (play from HDD)

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20
So I finally got a PS5 last night thanks to Jake Randall’s stream. It took two minutes of constant clicking on the place order button on the Target web site and I had to drive 75 miles to get it, but it’s mine. This after helping three friends get theirs.
A few questions:
What are the top 5 games I should look at? Most of the third party titles I have on Series X (AC: Valhalla, Watch Dogs, Avengers, NBA, Madden, Mortal Kombat, etc) and a friend is loaning me Miles Morales. I thought about Returnal or Demon Souls but I’m not really into break your controller games.
Any good PS4 games that look and/or play better?
Should I get another controller? I have two Xbox controllers so I can swap on the fly if need be, but haven’t the PS5 controllers always been better at holding a charge?

If you don't like 'break your controller' games, you can probably safely skip Demon's Souls.
If you haven't already played Ghost of Tsushima on the PS4, I think grabbing it to play on PS5 is the way to go. Excellent game. Control Ultimate Edition is also fantastic and makes good use of the DualSense triggers.

Yeah, I don't get the love for Control. I tried it out on PS5 when it was free on PSN+ and thought it was a generic shooter at best. Movement physics were terrible, IMO.

Plus is like Xbox Live: it's the online services plus free games (rotates every month) and discounts:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/ps-plus/
For PS5 owners that includes a bunch of free PS4 games called Playstation Plus Collection (I think this includes like 20 games). These games are only playable while your sub is active (I think)
In addition to that, there's Play At Home which is free to everyone:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/play-at-home/
Currently you can get Horizon Zero Dawn Complete edition for free (there were a bunch of other games but that expired last week)

I grabbed Zero Dawn. I remember playing it before but never finished it. Great game.
I’m wondering what systems I should buy games for going forward. I’m an Xbox guy for the most part and I prefer the Xbox controller but the new PS5 controller is pretty sweet.

I'm with you about the controllers. There's so much I think is phenomenal about the DualSense (and the haptics play no small role in me wanting to pick up Returnal), but something about the size/shape of it makes my hands ache after long sessions, and I don't have that happen with the Xbox controller. All other things equal, compelling use of the DualSense's features could absolutely tilt me towards the PS5 version of a game over the Xbox version, though.
