Once you've played a certain number of games (and haven't been opening Playroom) it will disappear from that list and will just be in your library.

Didn't see it posted, but according to the Playstation twitter feed, firmware update 1.51 will be available "today". Supposedly it will increase stability and improve the UI.

Looks like my PS4 just died!

I was installing NBA2K14. I left the unit on, installing while I went upstairs to put my boy to bed. When I came back out, the PS4 wasn't outputting video or audio anymore. Just that white light on top, possibly pulsing. I turned it off, then on a few times. No relief. I disconnected everything and then reconnected after a few minutes. It restarted in Safe Mode, then restarted and again, no output. I'm screwed, right? Now I'm on eternal hold.

How did you get amazon to send you a replacement unit? I've tried for two days and they only offer to refund or put me on a wait list.

I just called to tell them I had a problem with my unit. Talked to a guy, tried a few fixes and then when they didn't work, he took care of it.
Looks like they've started a new policy since this is clearly a widespread problem.

I doubt that's the real problem. Remeber mine worked for four or five days; it wasn't DOA. I wonder what the hell is going on (and seriously doubt this is a problem affecting only 0.4% of units).

Same here. I keep reading up on the new consoles and haven't pulled the trigger, and now I'm glad. I'd expect all of those kinks to be ironed out a year from now.

OK, the 1.51 update is being pushed out now. If your system is on standby, the update should be applied automatically. Mine downloaded in the background as I played Resogun.

I just installed the update and everything is smooth so far.

Amazon has, in my experience, had the best customer service of any company with which I have worked.

Yeah blaming Amazon is ridiculous. This is clearly a manufacturing issue. I am sure Sony wanted to get out in front of this to avoid more negative press.

Is anyone having any audio sync issues with their PS4s? I feel like the longer I have the system on, the more the audio starts to drift out of sync.

^^ I noticed audio sync issues watching a BD with the kids on Saturday night. The words were coming out of the speakers just a 1/2 second sooner than the lips were moving. It drove me nuts!!

The only thing to blame Amazon for here is that many of us got our PS4's in boxes that were beat up and weren't packed the best. I'm not saying that is why there are faulty consoles (mine works fine...so far), but it was probably worst condition I've ever received an item from Amazon.

It's clear they had to scramble to get all the orders out in a timely manner, and it's great that Amazon is stepping up to the plate here as they always seem to do with their return policy.

I have always loved Amazon and their customer service. I don't even call I just go on the website and have "web chat" with a representative. Early this year, I ordered something that was going to be a birthday gift for my son. Tracking said it was at my local PO, but the status didn't change for a couple of days so I called the PO and they said it wasn't there. I contact Amazon and the girl said "It sounds like it is lost, let me start the process for getting a new package out to you. "I said, it won't be here in time for my son's birthday." She said "ok, I will ship the package today overnight".

Can't beat service that good.

I don't see why Sony can't remove the folded cardboard from inside the box and replace it with cutout styrofoam that the console and accessories would sit it. It might not be very think styrofoam but even an inch or so on each side is better than what they have right now in their packaging.

My packaging was fine... albeit the exterior box was nothing more than a skin for the PS4 box. No additional protection... that said, so far so good.

Damn, my box was pretty large and was loaded with more air bubble mailers than I've ever seen before.
