Ok, you guys know that $30 coupon for a Kindle HDX that Amazon sent to those that preordered the console? It is going around on SD that if you chat with them, and lie and say you already own one they are just adding the credit to accounts. That, to me, is scummy. However, I decided to chat with them, be blatantly honest with them about how I have no interest in nor a need for an HDX and asked if they could do anything for me.

They said since I was a loyal customer since 2001 that they would issue the $30 on my account to be used on anything. Don't abuse it, don't lie, but there ya go.

I am so pathetic. I saw the console only in stock on Bestbuy.com and bought it. Sigh....no self control.

I think I'll pick up COD and BF4 to start. Not sure about Killzone or Knack.

I just tried and failed. I even bought a Kindle during the summer, and asked if I qualified for a different promotion. No credit, darn.

Will do. I gotta make sure I remember my PSN account password before it shows up - it's been saved on my PS3 forever. My PSN tag is the same as my username here. Oh and I suck at console shooters, but I'm hoping the DS4 helps with that.

I also have to free up an HDMI port on my switch. Looks like in a bit of irony, the HD DVD player will finally be retired.

LOL thanks guys. I used to be pretty damn good at BF2 on the PC back in the day, never quite weened myself off keyboard/mouse. I even bought one of those adapters for the PS3 to use a keyboard and mouse but it was never quite the same.

I've always stayed away from online play because I usually get destroyed by people who do nothing but play constantly. Maybe I'll give it a go again.

The first few weeks I played BF2 I was just getting shredded. The only way to get better is to just keep at it. I never put in the time on the console but I'll change that with the PS4.

In case it wasn't mentioned, the 1080P patch for AC4 went up yesterday. It also made some changes to AA as well. I didn't notice either while playing, .

Yes, it's creeping for me too. The first instal failed. We'll see. So far my second PS4 has been in good working order otherwise.
