But at the same time, don't they want to capitalize on the install base of current generation systems?

Yes, that's why you get Fantasia.

What's the best way to watch the Sony conference on a TV? I guess Spike isn't airing it. Is anyone else carrying it live?

http://www.gamesradar.com/pre-orders...day-afternoon/

GameStop may begin accepting pre-orders for PS4 and Xbox One as early as Monday afternoon, a source inside the retailer tells us. Both Sony and Microsoft plan to further detail their respective systems tomorrow, and it looks like GameStop will ride the wave by opening reservations on the same day or the next morning.

The source also told us that GameStop locations may even open early and close late for the occasion.

GameStop is doing everything it can to be the first word in next-gen console purchases for many consumers, regardless of how publishers and console companies decide to handle used games.

Yeah, I'll wait for Amazon if I decide to order a PS4.

Any chance we'll get a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3?

This is about the only thing that could get me interested in the next gen at this point. Luckily being S-E, a trailer today doesn't mean it'll come out ever, let alone in the next two years.

The only thing that will convince me to buy one is if the games are amazing must play titles. The online connection once per 24 hour requirement is asinine. Sometimes my internet stays out over a day so that would really piss me off if I couldn't play any games.

I didn't hear "exclusive".

Occurs to me that I haven't finished a Metal Gear Solid since the first one.

How is it like Call of Duty at all? I mean, there's combat.

And.....I'm out at that price. No way I'm paying $500 for a game console at launch.

To be fair Kratos' schtick has worn thin, IMO and has kinda hampered his cool factor.
